This from (pretending) DHS head Johnson today:
“We’re very definitely in a new environment, because of ISIL’s effective use of social media, the Internet, which has the ability to reach into the homeland and possibly inspire others...Because of the use of the Internet*, we could have little or no notice in advance of an independent actor attempting to strike.”

New (pretending) AG Lynch recently make a very similar reference just a few days ago implying as to how the interwebs are 'a problem with respect to the ease of recruitment of terrorists'.
You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.
*clearly "the use of the internet" is rapidly becoming a 'threat' to 'national security', so we can reasonably expect to see this be *addressed* and acted upon
