I updated my paypal account about a year ago and was promptly shut out from their services. They held my funds hostage for months. I managed to close the account about 6 months later. I probably only lost about $150.00 during this time to the paypal mafia. Getting out was worth it.

My entire income comes through PayPal, so I have to play Kosher to keep the lights on.

Hmm... so either it's this PC or its regional. When I go to log in it removes user/pass and sits there saying transferring data from paypal objects...
Everything else seems to be working here.
70% of my income comes through paypal and I need to send an invoice.

Do not know about paypal but something happened to this site just a few min ago. Got thrown off this forum to my providers search engine.
The page I was using for this forum, switched to my providers search page, sudden link. and when I would load from my menu bookmark, the same thing happened for abt 5 min.

Try logging in from a different browser. See if that makes a difference.

If it ever did go under, I'll bet someone picks it up and charges more almost instantly.
Do they have any kind of formidable competition?

Not really, here's a link alternatives. My customers wouldn't use any of them I'm sure.

Seems like some other player would make a move on that market. I mean if anyone were able to join the clans alot could be accomplished there.
