The BBC (http://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-news-from-elsewhere-33008073) reported the buyer was a Mr Gan and that the cash, when unloaded took up more than 4 metres of floor space in car company's showroom.
Mr Gan explained to the Liaoshen Evening News (http://liaoning.lnd.com.cn/htm/2015-06/03/content_4258692.htm) that he had collected the huge amount of coins and notes through the petrol station where he works.
"As our station is in the suburbs, there are very few banks. So we didn't deposit the coins and decided to use them to buy a car for our company," he says.
Staff at the car company were pre-warned about the impending arrival of the coins.
