ISIS doesn't have shit on the Saudi's! As usual, the US doesn't, or won't say a word.

I make it a habit to listen/read the last thing people say when they're describing, or reporting something...it, many times, is the most important, or most telling part of a story.

This biased article makes it sound like the people beheaded were deserving of their fate, but it's the word "apostasy" that speaks about the brutality of our (the US) buddies, the Saudi government.

Let's just focus on ISIS though...and the US/Israel mission to destroy Israel's enemies in the Middle East.

Riyadh (AFP) - Saudi Arabia on Monday beheaded a Syrian drug trafficker and a national convicted of murder, taking to 100 the number of executions in the kingdom this year.

The number of executions has surged in 2015 compared with the 87 recorded by AFP for all of last year. But it is still far below the record 192 which rights group Amnesty International said took place in 1995.

Syrian Ismael al-Tawm smuggled "a large amount of banned amphetamine pills into the kingdom", said an interior ministry statement carried by the official Saudi Press Agency.

He was beheaded in the northern region of Jawf.

A separate statement said that Rami al-Khaldi was convicted of stabbing another Saudi to death and was executed in the western province of Taef.

Drug and murder convictions account for the bulk of executions in Saudi Arabia.

According to London-based Amnesty, use of the death penalty for other than the "most serious crimes" -- premeditated killings -- violates international law.

Saudi judicial proceedings "fall far short" of global norms of fairness, according to the rights watchdog.

Under the Gulf state's strict Islamic sharia legal code, drug trafficking, rape, murder, armed robbery and apostasy are all punishable by death.

Why is "beheading" the preferred method of execution?

The guillotine was the preferred method of execution during the French Revolution, however it was reserved for the elites & the money power, common criminals & murderers were hanged in this period, not beheaded!

During this period and the times preceeding, the church taught that a person who had lost their head could never enter into the gates of heaven....hence a beheaded person was/is condemned to hell for all eternity..... Thus during the French Revolution a common murderer/criminal was hanged to death for he was entitled to forgiveness, while the elites were beheaded by the guillotine.
