It took me 4 or 5 minutes before it clicked. I launched into trying to sort the sequence out left to right... until started focusing on the right most bay.

The other puzzle about the girls birthday had me mostly stumped, seen it a couple times and I worked out I was looking for a unique value. But I only got it narrowed down to 2 dates.

You could see that image from a balcony right above a numbered parking lot. Think about it.

Most adults will get stumped on this since they will over think it, and look for a pattern. Kids wont, they will see the obvious thing right in front of them without bias.
