A semi-auto double barrel? Hmm, I don't think I've ever seen one of those. I know a few double barrel pump actions though.

Or maybe you would be more comfortable with this fully automatic double barrel rubber band gun?

Second rate drools, reliability rules.
For tactical purposes NOTHING surpasses the Benelli M4 with aftermarket full length mag tube.

has some pretty good prices on rifles.
and they sell shotguns.
i don't know what a good price is for a shotgun.
for people that live in states where firearms are more restricted ... seems like a shot-gun (since it's often available) makes a good self-defense option.
with the single shot ammo, they can even hit a target at some distance.

If all you're wanting is an entry level pump shotty then I highly recommend the Rock Island M5 (not currently being imported, check the auction sites like gunjoker). The RI M5 is a knock-off of the High Standard Flite King and has the slickest action I've ever seen in a pump shotty (an extremely important consideration when under stressfire) plus it has a steel receiver. It's a great value at about $200. Otherwise save your nickels and dimes up for the right shotty for HD and personal defense, the Benelli M4.
