You probably wouldn't notice it.

Cat probably would wait until you were asleep to do the dirty deed !

Then Poof !

;D

Or at the very least you probably would do good to check your shoes before putting them on ! {0}

I would heed Dogmans warnings. It is when you are asleep that they pounce. My cat pounces at exactly "I'm Hungry o'clock" every morning.

We had an intruder the other morning at 3 AM. Massive crashing of pots and many noisy things... then silence .... then growlmeowing. A cat I had not seen before came in through the cat door. Must have come over the roof or something, can't see it chancing it through the dogs yard next door. So an spic effort to get in IMO.

My experience has been not to get between 2 growling cats but after the initial biffo, they seemed to just sit back and stare at each other. Opened all the exits and after a few minutes the other puss trotted off. Was a girl cat. Not sure if a stray though. Was skinny but not unkempt. Been crap weather here nearly everyday since. Hope it's got a home somewhere. I thought it might be the neighbors cat. Have not seen that one in 4 or 5 years so can't remember exact looks but I think that one had a collar with a cell number on it.

When I first turned on the lights I saw 2 identical cats. Took me a few moments to be sure which one was which.

cold ears. Cats get cold ears. so they might not mind having some ear warmers on. I noticed this last night. Not as cold as many places but pretty chilly for these parts.
