duality at its finest... first encouraging people to benefit from gov programs, then cut them off and accusing them of being lazy

Police clash with disabled protesters as they try to storm House of Commons chamber during Prime Minister’s Questions
25th June 2015
‘Police have clashed with angry disabled protesters inside the Houses of Parliament after they tried to force their way into Prime Minister’s Questions.

Witnesses said one police officer “punched” one of the wheelchair user’s personal carers, while another onlooker said an officer restrained a woman by applying pressure to her neck as the group moved from Parliament’s Central Lobby towards the House of Commons chamber.’

maybe those people just need another fix of government health. That's magic stuff. I was thinking on that yesterday. The medical industry is no better than a common street drug dealer. They get you hooked on their "health pills" and people keep going back for more. I need another health fix Doc. I'm not feeling so well. Ok, let me give you a hit of this stuff. This will make you feel better. (if only for a short time until it wears of) Then you're back for another hit.

All in all, you're just another.......

But the weak and the old are the first to get screwed because they can't fight back. That includes the children as it's always for the children.

Things are changing in the UK now. People are standing up and fighting for the weak, the old and the youngsters. I think the tide is high, it's starting to turn.

But returning or getting to the subject of the OP. The Poms have the same scams they have in the US and down here in Oz.

The CAFR. Councils and government departments have accumulated 100's of millions of pounds each. That's each. In Australia the people researching this say its $200 - 300 million per council. Then there are school trusts, hospital trusts, police, electricity, water. You name it.

All of them are running 2 sets of books. My guess is, in the UK the amount of hidden funds would be in the billions. Might not be GBP 12 billion. But it would be a couple. Every 4 or 5 councils could hold GBP 1 Billion between them.

The amount of money is phenomenal BUT people still have to go without more. And it's not the end of it. It's just the beginning. I think the level of planned poverty is going to astonish people.

You notice they took away the guns before the benefits.

They probably had to give it away to immigrants instead.

There comes a time when Europe will know the true cost of immigration.

If anyone in Congress would be granted a proxy vote — the option to send someone to vote on your behalf — you would think it would be Rep. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.), who is eight months pregnant and advised by her doctor not to travel. Duckworth is also a veteran who lost both of her legs in Iraq, a factor which can only complicate traveling to Washington at this stage of her pregnancy.

But Duckworth's request for a proxy to vote on her behalf in the House Democratic Caucus leadership and committee member elections has been denied by Rep. Rose DeLauro (D-Conn.). DeLauro's office says the decision was made to avoid setting a precedent, despite Duckworth's unique circumstance.
