Dutch city of Utrecht to experiment with a universal, unconditional ‘basic income’
june 26 2015

‘The Dutch city of Utrecht will start an experiment which hopes to determine whether society works effectively with universal, unconditional income introduced.

The city has paired up with the local university to establish whether the concept of ‘basic income’ can work in real life, and plans to begin the experiment at the end of the summer holidays.

Basic income is a universal, unconditional form of payment to individuals, which covers their living costs. The concept is to allow people to choose to work more flexible hours in a less regimented society, allowing more time for care, volunteering and study.

University College Utrecht has paired with the city to place people on welfare on a living income, to see if a system of welfare without requirements will be successful.’

In the U.S. there is no interest attached to the issue of legal tender, it is a debt free currency.

This has to happen if society/civilization is to survive with all the automation going on.

It will fail.

Everything that is associated with basic living when it is all tallied up will exceed what the base salary is.

Plus the question is never answerd

From whom will the taxes come?

It will from productive people who are obligated to do more.

100% disagree. If this ^^ has to happen, someone will have to manage/control it. Whoever controls the money distributed to the people effectively controls the people. And let's just take a guess at who will be the ones managing this program.

I'm a firm believer that without state intervention and attempts to manage/control the economy, huge advancements in productivity will be met with massive advancements in specialization with an unfathomable variety of products and services provided by society. Productivity will make this incredible degree of specialization profitable. Who knows what the world will look like in 100 years, but it's pretty much guaranteed it will be unrecognizable to us today.

if usury, any government programs and taxation were abolished, that would work because it would create an environment enabling people to do what they are TRULY passionate for. Nothing is perfect but if we have 80% of population that is happy... the other 20% can be dealt with.

If the government got rid of all their programs and only were a wealth redistribution organization things may not be as bad.

There would need to be an automation tax introduced, so companies like Amazon would be on the same level playing field as companies like Target.

Other than that I really don't see how civilization will last. You can't have capitalism if everyone but 5 people are broke. I also believe this is the direction society is moving towards regardless if you guys think this is a bad idea or whatever. Automation is the death nail in what we know as Capitalism.

Now you get what the NWO is. That's what the cashless society is for.

They are doing what they are doing since they believe it is for the common good.

Don't assume I support this, but a lot of it is inevitable given the state of humanity.

An idea would be to claim residency there, then go work and live in France and pocket the extra dough.
