What ever "new" currency they come up with is nothing more than trading a piece of paper for another piece of paper, and it will never replace the real currency that has been around since the beginning of time......gold and silver.....by the way, silver was use as currency before gold.

I thought the first coins were made of electrum, an alloy of gold and silver.
