Never, ever use your real name or other "personally identifiable information" that can be used to destroy you on social media, including Internet forums. This personally identifiable information can include being too specific about where you live, what you do, and what you enjoy/believe in.
I have personally been able to identify the real name & location of adversaries online with very minimal information provided.
I highly recommend that no one use, at all, any social media that requires real names and real personally identifiable information, like Facebook. If you are able to establish a nom de guerre (name of warfare - for, we are indeed at war) on a site like Facebook, great - but remember that any media you share, such as photos or videos, may allow your enemies to verify your real identity, and then personally destroy you economically and socially. Photos & videos, both their image data (what is seen in them), and their EXIF metadata (embedded details about who, what, where, when the image was generated), are gold mines for intelligence/counterintelligence work.
