I'm going to wait until Friday and buy at 14. :). If it really goes down again tomorrow and the next day I may just forgo paying the property taxes this week and buy silver instead. I'll take a 10% hit on the taxes but will make that up when silver rebounds later this year..

You're not the only one who bought north of $30.
A good friend of mine had a windfall of 20k+, bought at 30+, then needed cash and sold at <20. Ouch.

Right, I started buying at (spot)14 all the way up to (spot)28 until I finished my stack. [a pretty massive stack indeed]
Then I got the bug and started collecting. For collecting, spot cost isn't really considered. Only the coin fixation matters.
I've bought at (spot) 40 plus.
No regrets here. It is still fun.

Back when I was an investor the general rule was always follow the big money. That rule served me well. All the talk lately has been about how the big money is going short and so many shorts shorting months or years worth of supply or some sheet. I dunno but to me the big money doesnt make moves to lose money so seemed like they were trying to bring it down or knew it was going down. The timing is perfect for the summer season as well so I am being patient.
I started buying at about 11. I stopped at 24 or so. Then the run up and I bought on the way back down at 34. Sold a little at 28 and been buying again since the low 20's. I stopped again in Feb of this year.. Now just waiting. Honestly if there was a rebound today I probably would have bought a little but my gut says this is going lower. It is tempting though :).

It could go lower, but at $17.50 oz purchase price, a return of 100 percent is only $35.00 oz. Not unreasonable and to be easily expected... ;D

I was in China last week on business and picked up a few 2015 silver pandas while I was there. Cost 200 Yuan, about $32USD. Overpriced for sure, but beautiful. They came with a display case which probably increased the price.

I do find it interesting that Junk Silver is $3.99 on Provident.
I remember paying like $0.10 over spot or something like that back when Silver was $30-40 or whatever
Junk Silver has a higher spot price than American Eagles now. That's basically unheard off from my knowledge.

I got the '70's silver art bar bug in August 2008 (spot was in the low $13's range) and never looked back and then I caught the ATB puck bug in February 2015 (spot was in the $16.80's range). I have never been a silver stacker or an investor but as a collector, buying what I like is very fun indeed.

My target spot is still $13.21. But it will take until some time in August for US Silver Eagles and Maple Leafs to drop more. The key will be news of US mint producing again. If they don't, supply will dry up with high premiums. There could be a short time that crashes pricing on everything below the floor.... but then supplies will vanish too. And that goes for everything.

If silver does sink into single digit territory the premiums probably will rise. I don't think we will see pysical silver at single digits.

I started buying in 2008 at near the bottom. I think silver was around $9, and my first physical purchase was SAEs for $11.76 each. Now, for us to reach those prices, wouldn't it take a crash like in 08? I'm tempted to buy right now, I have a major hardon for 10 oz poured silver bars, but I think will wait and see what happens in the near future.
