I believe Book is a good person. I think he means well and is not out to harm others. He also has a unique, but hilarious, sense of humor.

Got a story to tell you, that can reflect on this subject, as I am sure that you have similar story's in your country.

Back here when I was in school before the schools integrated due to the segregation laws in the mid 1960's. That was when all the young kids and not so young used to hang out at what ever meeting place in town, here it was the local dairy queen.

The blacks had their side of town and the whites lived on the other side , which the rail road tracks was the dividing line. In the common areas that both races mixed, there were marked places for the blacks, at the local rodeo there was a "colored" section for the blacks, at the local movie theaters the black seating was on the second level/story and public water fountains were labeled.

One of the "sports" the kids did when really bored at night was for some of the guys to load up in a pickup truck with some in the back and cruse into the black part of town, with ether rocks/bricks or 2x4's and go nigger hunting, and when they found one on the street in one of their neighborhoods would whack them or in general cause as much mayhem as they could. Then maybe also they would cruse to another town and have a "rumble" with other whites or whoever, this was in a time when towns were very territorial and fights were expected during sports events. And lord help you if you got caught in a rival town dating a local girl or just being in it, expect a head thumping.

The cops did nothing at all to the white kids.

So one has to wonder, why a people after being slaves and then "free" but being treated less than human would wonder why some would hold a grudge today seeing that the ones that lived and experienced the love by whites shown them back then are still living. Feelings get passed on from the old to the young.

In another 25-30 or so years the ones that witnessed first hand and lived and breathed those times will be dead and gone.

And maybe that is a good thing as long as the mistakes of the past are not repeated.

So in a couple of decades I expect native Swedes to be in minority in Sweden, and in a couple of generations totally insignificant economically and politically. I lived in the Lone Star State back then. Age 10 to 15. My formative years. Denton Texas. The early days of forced busing and school integration. As I recall, most of the black kids were in special ed. Don't think I had a black kid in my class until later on in high school in Florida. Much resentment in Florida back then. Things were just starting to get tense. Some of the white kids were starting to carry knives or home made defensive hand weapons just in case. There were speculations of after school rumbles, but I never saw any.

One episode I remember: A BIG ass black girl in the lunch room cut in line and a greaser(tough) kid told her to get in the back of the line. The boy went down and didn't get back up. Never saw either one of those kids again in school after that.

So one has to wonder, why a people after being slaves and then "free" but being treated less than human would wonder why some would hold a grudge today seeing that the ones that lived and experienced the love by whites shown them back then are still living.
