I'm sure there's other intelligent life out there. The chances of it developing that early and then surviving this long would be pretty slim.
They would have had to evolve to at least out level and then some to survive any meteor or asteroid impacts by either temporarily leaving the planet or permanently leaving.
They also would have had to overcome the social issues we have today.
They would probably be a one world government where the entire planet worked together for common goals.
They would have either learned early on to live in harmony with nature or they would have had to advance quick enough to be able to do off planet mining to provide resources for the planet.

If we look at our own society we can see that the industrial revolution has just really gotten started if we look at it in a timeline of Earths age vrs how long this has been going on.

If they learned to harness the atom in a clean way, fusion vrs fission, early on then that would be a key to advancing more quickly and successfully IMO.

Looking at us just imagine a civilization even 1000 years ahead of us. (This is all assum9ing everyone doesnt blow themselves up at some point) Now imagine 10,000 years ahead or a million.

Just in our lifetimes we have made discoveries and have an understanding of the universe that we only imagined as a kid. It was only about 15-20 years ago that we confirmed that there were even other planets out there. Within 100 years we will probably know of 100,000 or more planets and once again our understanding of the universe will change. Instead of wondering if other stars have planets we may be wondering if there are any other stars that dont have them.
Interesting to think about. I look forward to the next 20 years of discoveries.

We polluted Earth in just the past century and the only reason TPTB are now "exploring space" is to flee the shithole they destroyed. If we do find another livable planet we will invade and colonize it. I imagine any space visitor will come here looking to do the same.
