i don't know BUT --
Syria could counter-attack Turkey this weekend.

in other words, geo-political events that can move prices, don't politely stop happening at 5:15 Eastern time on Friday.

so traders need to go into the weekend, generally holding positions that give them the least stress.


i guess Gold at $1100 seemed less risky or less stressful to somebody, Friday afternoon.

which may very well have been related to the Commitment of Traders report that came out Friday afternoon, that I think the ZH article is talking about.
