We are kicking Handgun Month off with a "bang" so to speak with a Glock 17 Meltdown. We had our friends over at Quiet Riot Firearms make the necessary modifications to our Gen 3 Glock 17 in order to add a registered auto sear and help make this baby cook! We think you guys are going to be impressed with the results, and you haters out there will be a bit disappointed. Special thanks to SGM Tactical for providing us with plenty of magazines for this test.

cool test to watch.

it sounds faster than 7 shots per second, that's the spec for AR-15's. I guess Glock's might cycle faster ?

They most likely do since its such a short distance for the cycle to complete.

Great video, thanks for sharing.

We trained with Glock 22's in police academy. Thousands of rounds out in the rain and mud, rarely was there any feed issues. In fact, they would put a dummy round in our magazines on occasion just to teach us what a feed issue might be like, and how to tap rack ready through it. If there was a problem, it was almost always the ammo, a dud round. Glocks have earned my respect, they go bang when you pull the trigger.

With a full auto glock totally agree. Standard semi auto they are accurate.

What are those full auto attachments called?

I've seen them in a Vice documentary on guns, and can't figure them out.

Auto sear

Auto sear

Fortunately I don't know all the parts because I think the ATF has heartburn on the subject.

There is an edge on the bolt carrier, it's one of the edges that pushes the top-most bullet towards the chamber.

7 times per second if all goes well.

The mechanism involves the front edge on the bolt, the auto sear, the trigger - and then you're close.

Actually, what I was going to ask -

So the Glock failed because of heat ?

It makes me wonder about using water-cooled weapons.

dang that old rifle has a Steam-Punk look.

That came up in a search for 'water-cooled weapons' ...

Since Newegg has sold a few million water cooling systems, I would expect to see more water cooled auto's.
