Most actors in hollywood have doubles in public. I would imagine a double for a leader would be common.

With that said I don't think they would be crashing oil if he was not still in power.

Doesn't make any sense! Still Russia seems to hold up remarkably well. As oil price drops, russian ruble drops too. Oil income in Russian ruble is almost unchanged. The biggest difference is that Russians started buying Russian products instead of European. So it is bad for Europe's economy and a boost for the russian...
