Not every personal attack results in a ban. Only when things get out of control do I step in to lay down the ban hammer, but by now you should all know that I hardly ever bring the ban hammer to the table. Minor scuffles I just let go, and if it's more than that, most times I let things pass with a warning, and that's assuming I even see it at all. Many times I get PMs asking me why I'm not doing anything in a thread I've never even seen. Just cause I'm a mod doesn't mean I'm omnipotent.

2nd September 2015, 12:17 PM
hey Hitch, glad to see that someone is speaking out there...
IOWNme has been a lot more corrosive than I and was never banned
7th has been mocked and bashed, whole threads dedicated to ridicule him, and nobody was banned
i have been attacked several times over the last 1 1/2 year (before that I was away for long period of time) and mods never intervened, not even give a warning to the poster.
we have/had a mod that stepped down after encouraging insults against me, and who turned a blind eye to a member sending me a virtual slap in the face. That member didnt get banned. The same member insulted me twice for almost no reason, he used to stalk me, and even the JQP asked him to tone it down... he didnt get banned neither of those days.
then we have another member posting regularly demeaning pictures, and he is well known for that, yet he always seem to get a pass.
and now for the very first time, I SERIOUSLY criticized CT and shami for saying that David Icke is a controlled opposition based on the fact that one of his videos didnt allow comment while I KNOW that most of his vids DO... both didnt even border to make a serious search. I am sick and tired and I showed it... so it cost me a temporary ban. I dont care.
I have received several messages from members in the past saying that if they didnt agree with me entirely that I was well behaved in my responses.
I recall that a long while ago, madfranks said that he wouldnt intervene because I had a thick skin... and slams me with a ban when for the very first time I showed that I was clearly upset. Perfection doesnt exist... all this why... because I am interacial, a woman, and have a provocative mindset ???
Good job madfranks, cultural marxism (bias) is alive and kicking, I tell ya

This forum is unique in that the rules are lax, and most times seem non existent..
Tho it is not a bad thing, imo that if they are enforced they should be at least be applied fairly and consistent !
But the major question is ,
Where is the line?
Is it when the majority of membership gets pissed at one member, but does not break or only slightly bends the posted forum rules?
Or when a member attacks everyone on the forum, and then goes on and not only bends the forum rules but breaks them, which has a rich history here?
Imho, if a personal attack goes beyond one on one and involves family, etc! For me that is over the line.
Being a mod, is a thankless task, because it is dam if you do and dam if you do not!
But anyone here that has been here from the start, has seen how a forum with a dam near no rules open fistfights and very personal , personal attacks has effected us!
That some here still use the same play book, when they have any good answers , they push the personal attack button.
A vast majority of very real, and very good posters have decided to leave this place because they had their dignity deeply offended.
And I for one dam sure miss those people, they enriched us in so many ways sharing their real life's and wisdom, but some hard core types went after them with dreamed up crap or pounded them with stuff that no mater how they would answer did no good..
So they gave up.
In some ways maybe I am wrong posting my thoughts on this thread, but sometimes some viewpoints have to be said.
Said from one that has a few of his own wars here, with certain posters here.
But I can say, I do and never have done any personal attacked as deep nor offending as the ones I am thinking about.
I is who I is and have never tried to hide who I am, which is just a guy that has done a bunch of stuff in his life and when I can I try and share my knowledge and life experiences to help others.
And also is dam near neutral in my politics.
Dos Pesos !

I don't know if Icke believes in what he says or not. I wouldn't be shocked if he really did. If he started talking about racial realism and looking directly at the Jews though he wouldn't be on Coast to Coast, Alex Jones, and so on. There would be massive protests at all of his events organized by the establishment, and he'd be thrown in jail for trumped up tax charges like David Duke was when he was sent to jail for overpaying his taxes by $6,000.
What I'm saying is if you really are challenging the powers that be, you'll see them come down on you hard and demonize you with every breath.

But the major question is ,
Where is the line?
There isn't a hard red line, everyone should know this by now! We are a rag-tag group of non-conformists, and while I do my best to perform the duties of a mod, perfection will not be found here! If you want a perfect mod to 100% consistently do the same thing all the time, then you need to find someone else. I am not on this forum 24/7 actively policing everything going on. I probably miss most of the fights here because I'm not involved in every thread. Inconsistency is all you get with me, and if that's not good enough, raise some money to have JQP hire a full time forum monitor to catalog and document everything that happens.
Singular, thank you for not taking my temp-ban of you personally; I didn't do it because I dislike you, I did it in my meager attempt to enforce the forum rules as best I can.

I have one of those on one of my mini-revolvers, and it makes recoil far worse than it already is.
Actually I already posted about that:
http://gold-silver.us/forum/showthread.php?71526-Crimson-Trace-Red-Dot-Laser&p=650429&viewfull=1#post650429
I personally wouldn't carry anything over a 38 Special load in one of those revolvers. The recoil is too intense for a 357 Magnum in a small gun.
Ximmy, look at my post. You may want to consider getting one of those glove add-ons to the grip (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000H6GZI8) to lower recoil and give you more to grab onto.

If in true dark, with next to no vision available, the time taken to acquire a sight picture, may kill you, if you have to make a snap draw. If you can see a silhouette shoot imminently but try not to empty the magazine, for follow up shots and count your shots at that silhouette.
While your mind is occupied trying to align the sights takes a definite amount of time to do, and while doing that because your focus is more on the gun sights than your target...
Unless you practice so much that your actions are from muscle memory and no brain involved other knowing there is a true identified threat.

The problem with shooting in low visibility, is not identifying the person or silhouette. You could accidentally shoot the wrong person. It's good to train shooting while holding a flash light. There's different techniques and hand grips.

The Viridian holster + laser + light system has a setup where you program it to turn on the light, strobe, laser, or a combo of them when you unholster. It turns it off again when you holster.

I do have to admit , I have never had or used any optical/lazer on any of my handguns, except one gun way back.
Not the guns fault, but the time between shooting/using was long and the battery's gave out because of my not shooting the gun was longer than the battery lfes.
Besides I am old school, I try and eliminate anything that required battery's! I learned with iron sights or old school un powered scopes and for me anything battery powered in things as basic guns for defensive use that may not see the light of day for .....?
And then suddenly I need to count on it...
Old school all the way..!

The dam thing needs a battery and the model I have it is so easy to accidentally turn it on.
Prefer old school, never want to count on anything that eats battery's or electronic in basic guns, if my life depended on it,

I'd say it was a success. It proved beyond any reason of doubt that the anti vaccine crowd are a bunch of maniacs compelled by their irrationality to violently oppose anything that doesn't conform to their illogical beliefs.
Never ONCE was the OP addressed in any fashion, instead serpo resorted to spamming the thread with off topic posts, thats the reason the thread was closed.
Thats is completely different to when the both of you close threads, you close them because you can't handle the defeat a rational argument delivers you. Never once did ANY poster address the graph in the OP and spamming threads with OT posts is a breach of the forums rules.
You can cry all you want and make as many false claims as you want but not one person EVER actually addressed the actual thread subject, thats hardly a victory and if you think it is, thats more proof of your insane thought processes.

you proved absolutely nothing. organic food consumption is increasing because people become more aware/wary of the conventional food chain... so your chart/graph is a manipulation of statistics, period.

Here for spreading far and wide is a graphical reminder of the important distinction between correlation and causation.
Redditor Jasonp55 writes (http://www.reddit.com/r/skeptic/comments/14qbn9/rskeptic_i_was_practicing_graphpad_and_i_think_i/) that he was practicing Graph Pad when he produced the chart above and discovered the "real" cause of autism: organic food.
His tongue is obviously planted firmly in his cheek here, but the chart is nonetheless a simple and compelling example of how susceptible we can be to logical fallacies, cognitive biases (http://io9.com/5974468/the-most-common-cognitive-biases-that-prevent-you-from-being-rational), and extracting what we believe to be meaningful information (http://io9.com/5953993/what-makes-us-see-jesus-in-a-taco-or-a-human-face-on-mars) from insignificant or coincidental data. As Cory Doctorow notes over at Boing Boing (http://boingboing.net/2013/01/01/correlation-between-autism-dia.html), "this a potentially useful chart for discussing this issue with friends who won't vaccinate themselves and their kids."

You posted a chart? Big deal, the chart had already been posted, it was no fake.
I don't think you really understand what fake is, its a genuine graph representing a correlation. Why is this "fake" yet your beloved graph that purports to show that an increase in austism is caused by vaccination isn't?
If you were genuine you would answer this, but mostly you're posts are nothing more then smart arse retorts with no clout, so I doubt you actually can.

WHAT INFORMATION HERE IS FALSE?
Your making the claim, come and prove what you say is true, otherwise what your saying is this graph is as false as the graph which supposedly proves a causal link between vaccinations and Autism.
Its simple, yet you continue to try and defend the indefensible. You can't have your cake and eat it too dear ximmy.
Either you reject both of the graphs, or you explain why one is proof of causation while the other isn't?

In these forums, you are like the Black Knight in Monty Python who, although losing both arms and legs in battle, continues to fight on. This is evident to almost all members on this forum. Yes, we understand it is hard for you to exercise introspection, know your limitations, have the wisdom to acquiesce to those who are more knowledgeable than yourself. This is a fundamental trait of maturity. When you exercise these disciplines the sky will be the limit of your growth and personal development.

That chart is by far the worst attempt to try prove something so completely ridiculous, only a complete moron would believe this.
The price of food and autism rates, let's link them together. Did it ever occur to you that the price of food has skyrocketed in those 10 years. It is the AMOUNT of food consumed you need to measure, not the price. The price proves nothing. If anything the amount of organic food eaten has gone down from that chart, because the price has grown so high on organic foods, combined with high unemployment rates, people are eating less organic foods.
Sales in millions has gone up, but it buys less food!
Food for thought?

It's not the antics in this thread that piss me off, it's the two towering threads that the Australian Larry Silverstein just pulled.

I hear you. I thought he was a kiwi though. I posted a good solid argument challenging the "graph" he posted, that everyone "ignored" according to him. My challenge was ignored. That whole post fell on deaf ears actually. I'm sure he will post again how nobody had a good argument against him.
Smart people listen, and learn. Less smart folks just hear what they want to hear.

The woman is on a holy crusaded !
Tho I do not really blame her for it , seeing she got an undeserved ban for nothing.
Going by the rule that got her banned , 3/4 if not more members here have sinned far more greater than she has/did before or after hers just in the last few days..

actually, aeon closed a 2nd pro vaccine thread of his, while he is the one who cannot speak without insults.
Anyhow, since most of you are incapable of any cordial discourse on the subject, I'll close it and ADD to it whenever I get the time and I will DEBUNK the mess that you have carpet bombed out of pure ignorant and psychotic spite.
Its my thread, I'll do EXACTLY AS I LIKE...hahaha

He lost the argument and gave up. That's the only reason to close a thread. Pure frustration. You out classed him, period.

Actually, it's worse than that. He's playing the entire forum in a flagrant power trip. Or playing the devils advocate!
Most if not all here responded with the minority view compared to what the 99% or so people's of this planet think!
Which that minority's views are based on nothing solid as far as what can be proven nor any evidence those viewpoints can hold water! Other than screaming web site's that are repeating what other screaming web sites are saying, that none have any solid material other maybe a published paper by maybe a single person!
Is there risk, yes!
But the numbers do suggest that for the majority they work! Some have stated that it would be better not to vaccinate and let nature take it's course to thin out the weaker!
Wonder what the parents of those children would think?
It has been common knowledge that vac,s do have risk's that a small percentage of the majority will have problems!
There is not a dam thing use or taken by us two legged critters that is completely safe for all!
Thoughts from a old fart in training, from past observation that really doesn't care what anyone here thinks!
Opinions are like butts, everyone has one and I have just stated mine!
Tho the theory of let the dice roll does have its points as far as overpopulation goes when it comes to be vaccinated or not when it comes to your kid's and loved ones!
Am out of this one!
