AUSTIN, Texas (Reuters) - A 19-year-old Texas man who was posing with a gun for a social media selfie photo accidentally shot himself and died from the wounds, Houston police said on Wednesday.
"A witness told police he was taking a selfie with a gun and the gun accidentally discharged," Houston police spokeswoman Jodi Silva said.
The identity of the man killed in the Tuesday incident in Houston has been withheld pending an investigation by the coroner.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. He had shot himself in the upper body, police said.

Good for him. Being a father of two at nineteen year old age sure doesn't carry the weight of responsibility it once did.

Legal gun? Probably not. Pointing the gun at yourself loaded or not? Good plan. What happened to the selfie pic? I bet its priceless.

Will the giverment support this behaviour? Copy cats. Someone needs to show people how to take a selfie with a gun.

I'm guessing the guy got confused and pressed the wrong thing to take the picture. Patting head while rubbing stomach.

Did this guy even exist?

Did this guy even exist?

Good question, especially since all of these false flag shootings as of late. Looks like the NY rags have to start running stories all the way from Texas to promote the "deadly/dangerous" gun meme

Seems legit at first glance. Don't see DHS or FEMA SUVs at the crime scene...so far it seems normal

The 2nd Law:Never Point The Gun At Something You Are Not Prepared To Destroy

If you’ve done your safety-check and are absolutely sure that your gun is unloaded, that does not give you the go-ahead to be careless with it. Remembering the first rule, The Gun Is ALWAYS Loaded, you should never point it toward anything that you are not prepared to destroy.

The 4th Law:Keep Your Finger Off The Trigger Until Your Sights Are On The Target

This 4th rule, arguably the most important one, should be practiced 100% of the time (as with all of these rules). With any modern firearm, as long as your finger is away from the trigger guard, your firearm will not discharge. Knowing this, there should be 0% chance of a negligent discharge. Notice we didn’t say ‘accidental discharge’, because there is no such thing. It’s negligent, period.

Bad shit happens when one starts taking some things for granted and lose their healthy sense of fear and respect when handling or being around dangerous items or areas!

The kids problem is he sadly lacked even one brain cell to use as a brain!

As we all know one needs two brain cells to rub together to form a thought !

It's the gun's fault. If not for the proliferation of guns this fine young gentleman would still be with us today.

He must have gotten excited and pulled the trigger on his gun instead of pushing the button on his camera. TNB
