That the big old claw footed cast iron bath tub, that many of us grew up with and loved, started life in the 1800's as a pig/hog scalder ! :o
Think about it !

I guess I would have to think about the thought processes that led you to this fascinating topic.
I toured a Frank Lloyd Wright home once. Seems he designed a bathtub, lav and john all in one easy to install unit. They all sort of folded together. This idea was too advanced for the plumbers union since it would have cut their labor to a third (a single hot, cold and drain connection rather than nine of them).

Some mystery's are best kept mysterious. ;)
Frank Lloyd Wright has always been a favorite of mine when it came to his designs!

I am surprised more hams don't seek out and purchase Lustron homes. Seems people with chemical sensitivities like them and being all steel with porcelain would aid in shielding from those stray EMP events.

Used to know a guy that seemed to be allergic to dam near everything!
He spent most of his time in a porcelain tiled trailer, (floor, walls and ceiling) and furnished in hypoallergenic materials!
That kind if living is not for me, thank you very much!
Everything in my shack is grounded out of the yin Yang. Copper pipe runs along my bench with coax shield braid serving as ground points as needed. And both ends of that pipe connect multiple ground rods network that also salt buryed along with the rods!
Wild RF in the shack is not funny!

I knew a guy who got put into the hospital for 3 days because he stepped into an elevator where a woman who was heavily perfumed had exited minutes before.

If and when I was running a hot iron at my bench and depending on what chips I was messing with at the time!
To prevent ESD !
