Behind every legend there is some truth....and many times to believe in a legend is to have hope for something else.

Madame Helena Petrovna Blavatsky
She is also connected to this.

Anyone else see a problem with this?

Total BS!

From the pic's part of the roof is from a modern excavation machine/boring tunneler without the concrete liner going by the machine tool marks on the ceiling!

Not hard for they that lived in the heart of the cold war to be surprised that maybe some were digging into the heart's of mountains to try to make shelters!

Is this one attempt?

The rest of the op is total ....

Will leave that up to others imagination's!

Bet the temperature is constant but bet water is a holy bitch!

Prove it actually exist first.

It's just a story, about as fascinating, well documented and real as the 'flat earth' story.

I just happened to recently inspect a 14 foot diameter 2 mile long hydro tunnel bored with a tunnel boring machine. The thing about a TBM bored tunnel is that they are perfectly round. On close inspection from the one picture, it appears that after boring the hole, they blasted the side walls vertical and flattened the bottom.

I worked in N Tunnel at Nevada Test Site as a tunnel mechanic. they got one of the first tunnel boring machines to test in 1972. The brand was Alpine Miner. It had a hydraulic arm with a rotating cutter head. The arm would swing side to side so it could cut a flat floor. Also it would go up vertically several before it started to arc. It the machine was 440 volt powered and track mounted.

The photo in the OP does appear tho have had the sides blasted.

the tunnel was 18 x 18 feet.
