Thanks mick. Really good article with some shocking photos. I can't believe folks use 165 gallons per person, per day. I use maybe 5 gallons, not even trying...I am so used to keeping track of water. I keep 150 gallons on board with full tanks. Another 75 gallon tank not hooked up currently, and maybe another 50 gallons of water in jugs. For the record, I'm not even charged for water use. I can use as much as I like and it's not metered.
On the bright side, the talk is that el nino is going to bring a very wet winter. Keeping our fingers crossed here...

I don't believe my good luck.......the creek has been dry for the last eight months but........I STILL HAVE CREEK WATER.....maybe it is because my water comes from way up the creek on the hill......besides......I have a 550 and a 2,500 gallons blk water tans that I keep full at all time......if for nothing else as a fire protection......I take a bath next to the 550 gallons since it stays hot all the time.

I think they calculate usage including what water it takes to produce all food you consume. Not sure where I read it but I did.

That makes sense now. I read 80% of our water use is agriculture. 10% businesses, So, that would mean the average person uses about 17 gallons a day for drinking, showers, cooking, toilets, etc. That sounds about right.

and toilets. fucking formatting again.... sigh I need to get some more bone char filters so I don't smell chlorine with the shower thing.
Haha, I didn't even think of showering, washing hands or toilets. There is a lot of water wasted. We don't use the municipal water for much other than washing dishes
