Best advice I ever got from a cop, a good friend of mine, nearly 25 years ago. He blew off his pension and gave up his career as a cop 'cause he saw where things were headed over 20 years ago.

Now see what they say in this article -

EVERY police encounter, whether you've been arrested or not and EVERY driving infraction you've ever had is recorded by DHS/RMV.

To contact a cop is to contact a bullet...... no more mr nice guy...their job now is to enforce the law, not to protect you.

This is nothing new, it's all been recorded for quite some time. They know everything. Every contact with the cops, every infraction, every speeding ticket, if you have warrants out..etc. Cop cars have computers in them. They can run your plates, put in your drivers id, etc.

Wait until the cops get vehicle scanners, for weapons, or whatever they want to look for. The ports have vehicles that can scan shipping containers.

BTW, the main article at the link, the CA law set forth is mostly to stop illegal immigrants from getting drivers licenses.
