Hive machine is like $700. Seems like a cheap way to get into entry level bee keeping.

interesting. I've noticed a few inner city hives popping up lately. At golf courses and public park areas.

Local beekeeper told me he gets 3 to 5 gallons of honey a year from each hive. He sells raw local honey for $28 a quart. There is a lot of overhead though. He hauls his hives to California every winter.

I lost two of my three hives last year to colony collapse. My remaining hive is not doing very well. This new hive is very exciting. I want to try one and probably will order one. I checked into them a few months back and there was a lot of lead time.
