Sure however the people who built Palmyra, wasn't Arab. The Assyrians of the past were not Arab, neither the Egyptians of the past. I had a patient today, dark blond hair, white pale skin, delicate limbs. Blue-grey eyes. I jokingly asked if she was from Sweden, she said she was from Adana in South-East Turkey, and then I asked where her ancestors came from? she said Syria. She probably originate from the original non-Arab inhabitants of Syria, distinct Northern European features... I would say Assad also has that origin, but with a bit more Arab intermixed than this girl.
