This is an image of the supposed 'headed for the landfill' ingredients served as a meal at the UN. What do you see wrong with this picture?

Yes fresh newly bought vegetables... So do you think they went and bought all these fresh vegetables in Manhattan to take the photograph, and then they drove it to the landfill, and went and bought new vegetables for the lunch? I wouldn't be surprised. It is just to much of an endeavor to sort through all that!

Exactly, no wilted greens, nice looking grapes, you see bananas with far more brown sitting out for sale in your local grocers. No question it was staged.

I must be missing something, I find it totally believable that the UN caterers would simply dump leftovers in a landfill rather than donate to a soup kitchen. If this happened in Manhatten, there's a lot of food and grant money going to homeless shelters - it would make sense that these people just discard food since they don't value the time and effort it takes to grow and cultivate it

what the interviewee doesnt say is that if even 30-50% begin to address their own food waste drastically, the food giants would go bankrupt overnight.
----------------------
According to AFP: “The loss each year is the equivalent of 3.3 billion tonnes of carbon responsible for climate change — which would make food waste, if it were a nation, the biggest emitter.”

In France, food waste waits to be converted into methane and biogas.

clearly nothing to do with the UN. There are no dead babies in that rubbish. Not a single one.
