Japanese engineers have come up with a robot that can copy the moves of a samurai sword master and then beat his “teacher” in a fight. The samurai machine carries out hard-angled cuts with speed and precision – without breaking sweat.
Among the robot’s most spectacular accomplishments is a party trick: being able to slice a runner bean length ways.
The robot competed against renowned Japanese swordsman Isao Machii, from whom it learned how to fight by motion capturing his moves.
Machii can slice a fried shrimp fired at him at about 130 km per hour, according to The Independent, but he still lost his swordfight against the machine.
Robot arms, which have truly amazing skills, have recently entered the spotlight: one beat a world table tennis champion in March, while Russian military robots scored high at a shooting challenge a month ago during field training.
In April, a UK company unveiled a robo-chef capable of preparing meals from scratch.

If they are able to get power supplies small enough but highly dense we will most likely see robots taking over human jobs. We already are on a small scale at the moment, but once they are not tethered to a power source or have to recharge every couple of hours then we'll see an explosion in robotics being implemented in the market.
All the benefits of human labor, but without the salary, benefits, or drama.

Taking "your" job? If you work for an employer, you own the job? If I hire a guy to help me, it's my job I'm offering him, and his labor he's offering me. The job, or the empty position, is owned by the employer. If I decide to hire a guy for less than the current guy, what right do you have to stop me?

a for profits system will always follow the lowest costs of production... eventually, yes I agree, robots are coming

He's right, the key is illegals... taking jobs from Americans.
Nothing wrong with hard working Mexican-american labor.
