Shocking, simply shocking.
NASA predicts a 5.0 earthquake in the next 30 months. (< long after you forgot about it)
My, my what a BOLD prediction. I guess this agency was worth over 1 trillion dollars, look at what we get.
Gigs worth of CGI pictures, fancy movie studios and now this bold prediction of an earthquake in the next 30 months.
http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2015/10/20/nasa-gives-99-percent-probability-of-5-0-earthquake-in-la/
I've witnessed to drunks on the streets who had more predictive abilities than this, in fact I'll make a BOLD one myself.
The economy is going to get worse in the next 30 months and I say that with 100% possibility. Now, hand over my 1 trillion!

A 5.0 earthquake sometime in the next 30 months? I wonder if they also predict that the sun will rise in the east?

there are dozens of earthquakes every day the world over. I think a 5 is pretty common. That part of the US gets several every day as it is. I expect that prediction has come to pass many times already.

The primary mission of NASA has recently been to make the moslems feel proud of themselves.
How screwed up does a country have to be to get this stupidly crazy?

The best part is when the USGS shits on NASA's parade.
Seismologists at the US Geological Survey have questioned that probability, suggesting it may in fact be slightly lower, stating: “…the accepted random chance of a (magnitude five) or greater in this area in three years is 85 percent, independent of the analysis in this paper.”
USGS uses different methods from radar and GPS, such as fault maps and models, to develop their results.
So a 5.0 in L.A. area in 30 months. Raises for all!!!!

there is software out there called Earthquake 3D. It downloads USGS data and displays on a 3D globe model where all the Eq's are and how strong/deep. interesting program.

"Perdiction"?? Is that how they spell it in the KJB? Maybe you should try reading some OTHER books once in a while... ones that have seen a proofreader.

I perdict this thread becomes full of posts loaded with clever misspellings.
For the record, I agree that said NASA perdiction is completely lame.

I think it's a problem with the forum software. I've noticed words wrong in my posts, and have to go back and edit them.
Also I think that prediction is lame too. They will get a 4.0, it will make the news for one day, and NASA will pat themselves on the back for being close.
