SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson says giving statehood to Puerto Rico would strengthen the United States.
Carson attended a political rally of statehood supporters Sunday where he pledged to advocate for admission of the U.S. territory as the 51st state.
He said the current debt problems of Puerto Rico's government are the result of the island being treated unfairly as a territory and the situation would improve if it won statehood.
Carson said Puerto Rico has paid its dues for becoming a state, pointing to its century-long association with the United States and the participation of its residents in fighting U.S. wars.

Batshit Crazy Ben will say anything to get attention. ANYTHING he thinks will net him some points, e.g. how he did a 180 on gun control.

The only reason they want to increase the US Citizen population is for debt purposes. More bodies means more assets to secure borrowings.

I've seen this floating around the net. It's a few years old. I don't know if it is legit or not but lots of "alt" media sites carry the "story".

UCC Security Filing (Lien) for $14, 000,000,000,000,000 (14 Quadrillion dollars)

Secured by: As all real--men with hands and legs and all real land in the United States of America. $14, 000,000,000,000,000 WITH TRUST IN GOD, this real-estate is with the PUBLIC.

Interesting document. Is states that the US Govt is a Trustee for the trust. It was also modified to include a further $300 billion.

Is it a real filing? Does anyone know?

I've always liked how Jesus is portrayed with long hair and a well trimmed beard -

And as soon as they are given the "gift" of statehood, suddenly they will be beholden to the incredible regulatory burdens of US regulations. Many things will become illegal, many products will be labeled unsafe and forbidden, many people will become unemployed, and yes, they will be forced to pay tons of taxes to their new masters. For Puerto Rico's sake, I hope they reject statehood.
