I see how facebook is scamming jewtube, FB scrapes all the jewtube links so it appears to be a FB exclusive. Took me a while to find this on jewtube but was worth it.

I don't get the point of it? Is it just to be a bastard to your pet?

Just to see if it works. It seems harmless enough.

I hate the assholes that scare an already terrified cat to get what they think is funny video... this definitely isn't that. I am so trying this with my cats later! I'm sure they will agree it's a harmless prank; they're pretty good sports...

My dogs are generally very keen to what is *new* and out of place in their environment. It's not at all unusual for one to start barking at a car or truck parked in a spot in their immediate environment that hasn't been there before.

True with cats also. I'm wondering if you could but a ball or something like an orange?

I don't think there's anything special about the cuke, I think what it is, is placing an unfamiliar object right behind the cat that scares it. I bet if you placed something different that was unfamiliar to the cat behind it, it'd jump exactly the same.

I rekon its an inbuilt evolutionary recation.
Cat thinks "Holee Fuk, how big is the animal that can lays turds that size and its was just here a minute ago, I'm out of here!"
hahaha, pretty funny ;D

I was walking through some tall grass one time and I looked down just in time to see I'd stepped over a rattle snake. I guess we both saw each other at the same time. I jumped just like those cats did and the snake struck at me but he missed. I couldn't find anything nearby to kill him with so he got away. I carry a pistol loaded with birdshot all the time now to shoot them with.
