After Paris attacks, Alabama and Michigan won't take Syrian refugeesThe governors of Alabama and Michigan say their states won't accept any more Syrian refugees. Concern about screening for terrorists rises.http://l.yimg.com/a/i/us/nws/p/csm_logo_115.jpg (http://www.csmonitor.com/) By Jessica Mendoza 36 minutes ago

The terrorist attacks in Paris Friday have ignited Republican opposition to letting Syrian refugees secure asylum in the United States – with two governors speaking out against resettling Syrians in their states.

Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder and Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley both issued statements Sunday announcing that their states would be closed to any refugees out of Syria. Their decisions echo similar statements from a number of 2016 Republican presidential candidates, who over the weekend called for a ban on allowing Syrians into the country out of fear it would be hard to tell whether any of them had ties to Islamic militants.
"It's not that we don't want to, it's that we can't," Florida senator and GOP contender Marco Rubio said Sunday on ABC's "This Week.” "Because there's no way to background check someone that's coming from Syria. Who do you call and do a background check on them?"

Friday’s mass killings in Paris – which involved coordinated attacks at six venues (http://www.cnn.com/2015/11/13/europe/paris-attacks-at-a-glance/), including a concert hall and the Stade de France – left at least 129 people dead and 352 wounded. A Syrian passport found near one of the attackers had passed through three countries known for a heavy influx of refugees and loose border controls, officials said, renewing fears that people with links to terrorists and Islamic militants could use the wave of mass migration in Europe as cover for crossing borders.
Such concerns have drawn fresh attention to the debate around admitting Syrian refugees, which has been part of broader national security discussions – despite pleas from experts that overreacting to the attacks could play into the hands of extremist groups.
“What is needed is human intelligence, intimate knowledge of Middle Eastern societies. Like the 19th-century anarchists, Islamist terrorists today want to ‘sharpen the contradictions’ within Western societies," Karim Emile Bitar, a Paris-based professor of international relations at Lebanon's Université Saint-Joseph, told The Christian Science Monitor (http://www.csmonitor.com/World/Europe/2015/1115/In-aftermath-of-Paris-attacks-how-much-security-is-enough) Sunday. "Overreactions and a rise of extreme rhetoric would play in their favor. Governments should not fall into that trap.”
Senator Rubio’s remarks Sunday marked a change in his position from the fall, when he told Boston Herald radio that he would be open to taking in refugees as long as a proper vetting process was in place.
Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson, a retired surgeon, said that from the Islamic State’s perspective, it would be "almost malpractice" not to do everything in its power to plant militants bent on waging jihad into the ranks of refugees.
Michigan’s Governor Snyder, who in September was in talks with the federal government regarding the resettlement of refugees, also shifted his stance Sunday with his announcement to suspend the acceptance of any Syrian refugees until the Department of Homeland Security had fully reviewed its procedures.
“Michigan is a welcoming state and we are proud of our rich history of immigration,” Snyder said in the statement (http://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/2015/11/15/snyder-suspends-efforts-settle-syrian-refugees/75825736/). "But our first priority is protecting the safety of our residents."
But Snyder's decision was controversial.
Maged Moughni, a Dearborn attorney and Arab-American advocate, told the Detroit Free Press (http://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/2015/11/15/snyder-suspends-efforts-settle-syrian-refugees/75825736/): "It's doing what ISIS wants. ... He's just basically buying into what ISIS wants: Muslims against the West ... Gov. Snyder is buying into the rhetoric."
Alabama’s Governor Bentley made a similar declaration, saying, “I will not stand complicit to a policy that places the citizens of Alabama in harm's way."
All three Democratic presidential candidates – former secretary of state Hillary Rodham Clinton, Sen. Bernie Sanders and former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley – supported proper screening processes for any Syrians coming into the country. But the US should admit more than 10,000 Syrians to which President Obama has committed, the said in Saturday night’s Democratic debate.
A spokesman for Mr. Obama said Sunday that the administration is moving forward with its plan to admit 10,000 refugees (http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/09/11/us-europe-migrants-whitehouse-idUSKCN0RA26220150911) into the US in 2016.
"What we need to be able to do frankly is sort out that foreign fighter flow, those who have gone into Syria and come out and want to launch attacks or those people who have connections with ISIL in Syria," Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes said on Fox News Sunday. "At the same time, we have to recognize there's tragic victims of this conflict, there are women, and children, orphans of this war and I think we need to do our part, along with our allies, to provide them a safe haven."

Here's an idea. Build a wall around Detroit. Put all the refugees there, and don't let them out, or anyone out. In fact, do that for every shithole ghetto in our nation. Let them rape, kill, and blow each other up. Two problems get solved that way.

And...we are letting them into our country?!? They want to kill us. According to the quran, the only one surefire way into the promise land, is to die for the holy war, Jihad.

Their god is not a loving God, like ours. It's one of hate, anger, and evil.

OK, you are a troll. We all know this.

Listen up, when war happens, it's either survival, or submission. There is no other choices. Our God, yes unfortunately we believe in the same God...given your lack of any morality, regardless...our God, is one of peace and love. It's written in the Bible. Read that book, when you get a chance.

Heres a quiz....so listen up real good.

Who do you think God will smile upon?
1. One who doesn't tolerant liars, thieves and tricksters and calls them out as such and is stern in dealing with them or-
2. The lying dishonest person himself.

Going by your actions you'll pick the No.2

Whats the difference between war and dealing with dishonest people?

Seven U.S. states shut doors to Syrian refugees after Paris attack Reuters) - Five U.S. governors on Monday said they would not allow Syrian refugees to be settled in their states, joining Alabama and Michigan and contending it is too dangerous to let in people from that war-torn country following Friday's deadly Paris attacks.Republican Governors Greg Abbott of Texas, Asa Hutchinson of Arkansas, Mike Pence of Indiana, Bobby Jindal of Louisiana and Phil Bryant of Mississippi said their states would no longer help support the Obama administration's goal of accepting 10,000 Syrian refugees in the coming years.
"Texas cannot participate in any program that will result in Syrian refugees - any one of whom could be connected to terrorism - being resettled in Texas," Abbott said in an open letter to U.S. President Barack Obama on Monday. "Neither you nor any federal official can guarantee that Syrian refugees will not be part of any terroristic activity."
However, it was unclear what authority governors had to stop admitting refugees into their states, legal experts said.
"The federal government has the power over immigration. If they admit Syrian refugees, they're here," said Deborah Anker, a professor of law at Harvard Law School who specializes in immigration issues. "People aren't going to the (state) border. The federal government is going to bring them in."
The decisions to stop accepting refugees from Syria came three days after gunmen and suicide bombers believed to be part of the Islamic State militant group killed 129 people in a series of coordinated attacks in Paris, the worst such event in France since World War Two.
A Syrian passport found near the body of one of the attackers showed that its holder passed through Greece in October, raising concern that the attackers had entered Europe amid the wave of refugees fleeing that country's four-year civil war.
The United States admitted 1,682 Syrian refugees in the federal fiscal year that ended Sept. 30, a sharp jump from the 105 admitted a year earlier. Texas, California and Michigan accepted the largest number of people fleeing the war.
Secretary of State John Kerry in September said the United States would increase the number of refugees it takes in from all nations by 15,000 per year over the next two years, bringing the total to 100,000 a year by 2017.
'THEY FLEE TERROR'
Some of the charitable groups that work to resettle refugees criticized the moves, saying that the governors are wrongly targeting people who are fleeing violence, not trying to spread it.
"For these governors to falsely assert that the U.S. refugee admissions program places their states at risk is utterly preposterous," the Reverend John McCullough, chief executive of the Church World Service, one of nine charitable groups that works with the U.S.'s Office of Refugee Resettlement, said in a statement.
Mark Hetfield, chief executive of the Jewish nonprofit refugee service HIAS questioned the idea that refugees posed a threat.
"As a rule, refugees do not bring terror, they flee terror," Hetfield said. "Refugees resettled to the United States are already subject to multiple layers of security screenings."
Alabama and Michigan said they would no longer accept Syrian refugees on Sunday.
Michigan's Republican governor, Rick Snyder, described his state, which has a large Arab-American population, as "welcoming" but said the risk associated with admitting Syrian refugees was too high.
"Our first priority is protecting the safety of our residents," Snyder said on Sunday. "Given the terrible situation in Paris, I've directed that we put on hold our efforts to accept new refugees until the U.S. Department of Homeland Security completes a full review of security clearances and procedures."
The governors said they were ordering their state departments of health and human services to stop working with Syrian refugees.
Jindal also noted that Louisiana State Police were aware of a Syrian refugee already relocated within the state, and directed law enforcement to monitor for possible threats. Jindal is a Republican candidate for president.

Conclusion: These movements are to be taken seriously along with the socio-political and economic disturbances that may accompany them. Here at The Daily Bell we emphasize individual human action and self-reliance in order to combat widespread disruption that may occur. Ownership of precious metals, access to farmland, clean food and potable water, even second residences abroad are all part of a strategy to protect oneself, one's wealth and one's family. Stop the growth of terrorism
Whether it’s an act of war or an act of terror, Paris attacks are the results of the plan which initiated the birth pangs of a new Mideast, the Death Cauldron. I keep hearing leaders and other people whose voices speak from our TV’s or written media say that the terrorists shall not defeat our Democracy, our freedom, our way of life….. These propositions sounds nice, but I’m unsure that they can withstand a serious critical analysis, even a cursory analysis for that matter. Where did this all start? A PBS Front line program traces the history of ISIS. Interestingly, ISIS started in IRAQ where the more radicalized group joined with moderate Sunnis who had been denied political representation by the Shiites in Iraq. As I watch coverage of the French attack, I cannot avoid thinking that the American invasion of Iraq and President Bush unleashed ISIS, and unleashed this violence on the world.
When the Bush invasion of Iraq was kicked off, we never knew what we were dealing with. It all seems to me now after almost 14 years that the Bush administration only released this scary beast that, since then, has been devouring on the blood of the innocent while dehumanizing the world.
As we have underestimated them, these terrorists without borders are vicious, well-trained, filled with hate and they have nothing to lose. They even hate their own people and are intentionally trying to generate so much fear of Islam that even the moderates eventually will be forced back to the state they desire to create. To blame all Muslims for this horror is to give them the victory they seek. They are here, financed and ideologically supported, to demoralize the populace on earth until there is no justice or morality left.
Unfortunately, the longer we wring our hands and wait to act (or fail to act), the longer the terror will endure, one way or the other. Historians will argue where and when it began, but it is here. This is not a war among nations. It is not an event about nationalist ideals or geographic boundaries. It is an asymmetric war of freedom-loving people everywhere against global jihadists who aim to establish an Islamist state across the earth. These empowered terrorists will not rest until they’ve cowered and then killed us all. Evidently, such a war is certainly not a level playing field. The weapons used really don’t matter, because the real battle is in the difference between individual views of life. As a matter of fact, you can maim, kill, bomb and retake bridges and territory but the Western world can never get inside the heads of these monsters, nor understand the perverse motivation that would lead to such heinous acts.
There’s a war on humanity.

Unca Walt over on the new/old site from whence we all "migrated", pounds one out of the park with this post:

Nothing less than the most brilliant strategy and tactic

Let's all stand back a second and learn something important.

A strategy and tactic that is nothing less than first or second in brilliance and effectiveness in the entire history of warfare!

RIDICULOUSLY IMPOSSIBLE PROBLEM TO SOLVE:

1. We are outgunned.
2. Our enemies own the night while we are blind.
3. Our enemies can reach any part of our land.
4. The land of our enemies is a thousand miles away across many countries.
5. In any stand-up fight under any conditions, we always will lose.
6. HOW DO WE STRIKE INTO THE HEART OF THE ENEMY WHILE FORCING THE ENEMY TO ADMIT WE ARE THE CONQUERERS NOW?

The brilliant answer:

1. Convert every jihadi soldier into a refugee from a war zone so complicated you need a scorecard.
2. Have the refugees take every possible transportation method that can be begged for.
3. Load down the public assistance resources of the interim countries to get rapid and free movement through.
4. Enter the target countries. Mix into the in situ muslim areas.

SUMMARY:

You have successfully moved twenty divisions of our soldiers into the middle of the enemy without losing a man. Our only casualties are the women thrown overboard to make room on one ship.

It will now only take one jihadi in every thousand jihadis ALREADY IN PLACE to make himself a Guy Fawkes Night hero... and you have a civilized country in ruins.

The Muslim asks the Christian...Do you believe the Bible is the words of God? Yes. Do you believe in the ten commandments? Yes. Do you believe thou shalt not kill? Yes.

The Christian asks the Muslim...Do you believe the Quran is the words of God/Allah? Yes. Do you believe his words that you can kill me and go to the promised land? Uh....

Do you understand now WHY I don't want you in my country?

Governors in 27 States Now Refusing Syrian Refugees Following Paris Attacks
On the heels of the news that at least one suspect in the Paris terror attacks got there via a Syrian refugee wave, governors across the United States have openly declared their state is refusing to take any Syrian refugees.
A total of 27 state governors, more than half of the nation, have now affirmed their state will refuse these refugees, many writing letters to the White House and DHS secretary Jeh Johnson.

Obama called the response “shameful”.

The Obama Administration had just announced in September that some 100,000 Syrian refugees will be accepted in the U.S. by the year 2017, while Congress apparently just learned that at least 13 Syrian refugees have arrived in New Orleans over the last two fiscal years, as the Obama Administration did not inform Congress until just a few days ago.
