I live in a rural area. Just got an email from a neighbor. WTF? :o

Our neighbor while walking this Saturday morning, spotted a strange vehicle stopping at mail boxes on the road out front. Long story short, she discovered that her mail had been stolen except for ads. She lives behind us and her mail box is beside Bernice. She reported her sighting to the Sheriff and described the car. The Sheriff stopped and arrested a couple at McDonald's in Umatilla (their car packed with various and sundry pieces of mail from all over the county).

The post office is no better. I ordered a optic mount for a AK and had it sent to my po box. The tracking number said it was delivered but I never received it. I know it was placed in the wrong box. The package also had my physical address on it so now a neighbor knows I have firearms at home.

Now the neighbors are petitioning USPS for community lock boxes. It takes 8 signatures... I'm suspicious.

I've seen videos of people who drive along behind the trucks and pick up any parcels dropped at the door, no one home. Seems to be a nice little cottage industry.

Could be but it's a federal offence. Not something to be taken lightly.

yes absolutely. anyone caught should get a good kicking. I'm amazed at the audacity of following behind the van.

Additional AK parts in California, isn't that a crime to begin with?

No mail delivery here, everyone needs to got get their own, I kinda like it without an exact address.

Nevermind... the fucking formatting wins again. A simple upgrade please?

All the mail carrier has to do is alert the home office and or the pigs. I know it isn't a fed offence in other countries and the mail people steal as much as they can

mail tampering is a very serious offense here. Very low tolerance for that kind of thing. We do hear of it happening. Occasionally you hear of delivery people hoarding or flipping out in some way and just dumping the mail.

I always have parcels delivered to my work place. Not possible for everyone I guess but no risk of things being stolen. It's the belligerent delivery people who throw your parcel at the door which annoy me. Had that happen a few times. A position for a New delivery person usually opens up fairly soon though.

Well at least the thief knows you are armed...
