After the ISIS terrorist attacks in Paris which resulted in at least 129 people dead, the Federal Bureau of Investigation is now on high alert after learning that an Army Depot in Massachusetts was robbed over the weekend.More than a dozen weapons, including M4 assault rifles and handguns were stolen in the break-in at the United States Army Reserve armory in Worcester Saturday night, according to WCVB (http://www.wcvb.com/news/army-reserve-armory-broken-into-saturday-night/36464176).

The FBI is working with local police and State Troopers to determine who’s responsible for the Saturday night break-in. The suspects apparently entered the depot through the roof.
A source close to the investigation told the Daily Beast (http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/11/15/assault-rifles-stolen-from-massachusetts-army-reserve-armory.html) that six M4 [assault] rifles, 10 pistols, and several long guns were taken from the armory, according to the source. The break-in was discovered Sunday morning. The armory’s alarms did not go off, according to the source, who added they may have been disabled due to continuing construction.

The missing weapons are now in a national database, FBI spokeswoman Kristen Setera said in a statement to The Daily Beast. The FBI is working in coordination with Worcester and state police, she added.
My good friend Sean Brown (https://www.facebook.com/seanbrown.journalist/?fref=ts) at Mad World News (http://madworldnews.com/fbi-mass-army-depot/) adds that while this may not be terror-related, my first question is, how the hell did thieves get into a military armory unnoticed? It’s a horrible idea to leave a massive weapons cache vulnerable to theft, especially here at home and with the constantly looming threat of terror, which makes me wonder if it was either an inside job, or if someone sought out weaknesses in the armory’s security to find a way in. Either way, this is definitely a dark mark on whoever is responsible for keeping the weapons secure, and if it were up to me, they’d be out of a job.

Well that certainly falls in line with the governments line of thinking.

Arm the terrorist on our dime, while at the same time attempting to disarm us. Government logic 101.

I only see "state troopers" on the interstate regulating the speed of commerce. What they gonna do?

As for "WHO'S RESPONSIBLE", that would be the Army. They are responsible for the security of their armory/weapons. No?

The Daily Beast has become, shall we say, "unreliable" as of late...claiming Russia is sending jihadis to fight with ISIS...

WORCESTER – The man accused of stealing 16 weapons from the U.S. Army Reserve armory in Worcester allegedly broke a kitchen window and cut a hole through the weapon's vault ceiling by apparently using a power saw and pry bar.

But it was DNA evidence that led investigators to James W. Morales, a man in his mid-30s who was at the Lincoln W. Stoddard U.S. Army Reserve Center on North Lake Avenue just a few days before the break-in. He was there to receive his discharge papers, according to an FBI agent's affidavit.

Authorities also said Morales was on an electronic monitoring device issued out of a superior court and that device put him inside the reserve building at the time of the robbery.

Morales is now in custody and will be arraigned in a New York federal court. Authorities said he is facing charges of theft of government property, possession of stolen guns and unlawful possession of a machine gun.

An alarm was triggered on Nov. 14 around 9:07 p.m. for the inside vault at the armory. The next day, Nov. 15, U.S. Army personnel reported the break-in around 7:30 a.m.

Investigators found that 6 M-4 rifles and 10 M11 (9mm) pistols were taken.

"The perpetrator gained access to the building in which the weapons vault is kept by breaking a window of a kitchen located in the proximity of the drill room within the facility," the federal affidavit in the case said. "The perpetrator gained access to the interior of the vault by climbing to the top of the weapons vault, then by cutting a hole in through the ceiling through several layers of metal and wood."

Investigators believe a power saw and pry bar were used.

FBI agents and investigators were able to find bloodstains in the area around the weapons. The blood was on a wall, a support pillar and underneath the hole that had been drilled.

The blood samples were analyzed by the FBI and matched Morales, according to the records.

Morales had been in Middlesex Superior Court on May 20 on charges of rape of a child and indecent assault and battery on a child under 14. He was released on conditions at one point and was placed on electronic monitoring.

Investigators believe Morales removed the monitoring device on Nov. 16, but not before they could use information from the device to place him in the area of the U.S. Army Reserve building around the time of the robbery.

"Preliminary review of the location information from the electronic monitoring bracelet indicates that Morales arrived at the vicinity of North Lake Avenue in Worcester at approximately 6:40 p.m. on November 14, 2015 and was present until approximately 12:08 a.m. on November 15, 2015," the FBI agent's affidavit said.

M4 is 5.56.

Basically since they're Mil, it's 6x 5.56's that probably have real good scopes on them.

Even fully equipped, with really good reliable hardware, it's hard to make one cost more than $1000.
PSA sells that many in a day. Maybe in an hour.

High Alert over 6 AR's & some handguns ?!

Was some special ammo taken, e.g. armor-piercing ?

As these wars continue and even increase, we can see the impact on our day-to.day lives. Gradually we are losing the ability to work and live without considerable government oversight
