San Francisco Man Brutally Beaten by Alameda County Deputies Rodney King Style
In Mission District, San Francisco, two Alameda County Sheriff deputies tackled a man to the ground and brutally beat the living shit out of him. Jeff Adachi from the San Francisco Public Defender’s office called the encounter “reminiscent of Rodney King.” The San Francisco Public Defender’s office was contacted by witnesses of the beating who expressed concerns over blatant abuse of power and brutality exhibited by the deputies.
The victim reportedly sat in a stolen car and rammed two police cruisers. The beating, the police say, was preceded by a 38 minute long car chase. The deputies said in the report that they deployed batons because they feared the man was armed and did not know what he was capable of. Sgt. J.D. Nelson, a spokesman for the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office said the video doesn’t provide the complete picture.
Complete or not, what the video does show is that the man was already down when the deputies bludgeoned the crap out of him. Having been down, they could have just arrested him, but where’s fun in that, right?

My favorite part was when the victim squirms trying to protect his head that was being bashed in with full force, and the cops scream “get on the fucking ground“.
Sad thing is – for a citizen, this would be attempted murder. For a cop, this is paid vacation ticket. Life in a police state is grand.
