Science Links Pesticides To Breathing Problems And Lower IQ In Childhood
17th December 2015

‘In the first study of its kind, researchers at UC Berkeley have found that exposure to pesticides from a young age can cause decreased lung function and neurological problems.

Scientists at UC Berkeley’s School of Public Health studied 279 children and 600 pregnant women in California’s Salinas valley and found that the use of agricultural chemicals in the area was as harmful as being exposed to second-hand smoke: leading to an 8% decrease in lung function, in addition to lower IQ.’

The Death over Our Heads: Energy Saving Light Bulbs Are Poisonous To the Brain, Nervous System, Liver, Kidneys and Heart
17th December 2015
Many of us in the effort to save energy and money, replaced our old standard light bulbs with environmentally-friendly with the new generation energy saving light bulbs. However, the new generation of energy efficient light bulbs are so toxic that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency created an emergency protocol you need to follow in the event of a bulb breakage, due to the poison gas that is released. If broken indoors, these light bulbs release 20 times the maximum acceptable mercury concentration into the air, according to a study conducted by researchers from the Fraunhofer Wilhelm Klauditz Institute for German’s Federal Environment Agency.’

This has been known for a long, long time. Back when the CFL bulbs basically became mandated when they outlawed incandescent bulbs, the EPA had this emergency protocol for taking care of a mercury spill which specifically listed and included a broken CFL bulb. It included throwing away any clothing, shoes, blankets, etc. that came into contact with the dust. So if you broke one over your bed, you were told to throw away your bedding. They warned not to put the clothes/bedding in the washing machine because it would just spread the mercury all over, not get rid of it. You had to turn off your home HVAC unit(s) because of the danger of the mercury dust being spread through the home through the circulating air. No vacuuming either, for the same reason. You were told to evacuate the home for a couple hours after turning off your HVAC so everything could settle to the ground, come in with a body suit and respirator, use tape to pick up all the broken pieces of glass and dust all over the floor, put them into a glass container, then once satisfied you got most of it, seal the glass container and take it to a hazard disposal facility. Apparently this made people think that CFL bulbs were dangerous, so the EPA took all of these warnings and protocols down.
