Dallas police have identified the 27-year-old man found dead in an Uptown apartment complex’s courtyard Monday morning. They have also determined how he fell from the seventh floor of the building.

Police say that according to a preliminary investigation, at least, it appears James Gabriel Shandorf “attempted to jump from the parking garage ledge onto an apartment balcony.”

from same link above......interesting turnabout, police first say he did not intentionally jump

Original post at 11:18 a.m.: Dallas police are trying to determine how a 27-year-old man fell from the seventh story of an Uptown apartment complex early Monday morning.

Police say that just before 5 a.m. Monday officers were dispatched to the State Thomas Ravello apartments on Allen Street across from the Greenwood Cemetery. There, officers found a man had fallen to his death from the seventh story of the building.

There are other media reports indicating the man fell from the seventh floor of a parking garage, but police tell The Dallas Morning News that hasn’t yet been determined.

Police, who aren’t releasing his name, also don’t know if the man was a resident of the Gables’ complex. But they do not believe he intentionally jumped.

A spokesman for the DPD promises updates as they become available.

Breaking! breaking! Police have speculated that he was thrown from the building by White Supremacists because he was Jewish...............OK, I made it up.

Hoarder, all I can say is that it is a damn good thing you fessed up IMMEDIATELY!

Because I was all ready to make a bunch of calls to friends and family with the story since they (friends and family) are so damn hard to convince that we got ourselves a jewish problem.

But I agree with Mick Silver now - that was a good one - got me still laughing.
