A school cafeteria worker allegedly fired after she gave a hungry student a free lunch has been offered her job back, the Idaho school district involved said.

Dalene Bowden, a server at Irving Middle School in Pocatello, told NBC affiliate KPVI in Idaho that she gave a hot meal to a 12-year-old girl with no lunch money who said she was hungry on Dec. 15.

Fired lunch worker convicted of prior theft


POCATELLO - A Pocatello cafeteria worker who says she was fired for giving a student a free lunch was previously convicted of theft charges in 2013.

Court documents say Dalene Bowden was ordered to pay $370 in restitution after police found surveillance footage of her removing cash from her employer's cash register and putting it into her tip jar at a Pocatello golf course in 2012.

She was later convicted of two counts of theft under $1,000.

Bowden received a termination letter from the Pocatello School District last week after she gave a tray of food to a 12-year-old student who said she didn't have money for a meal costing $1.70.

The letter cited theft as the reason for her dismissal.

My guess is since incomes are so low that many families qualify for the free lunches program, so parents opt in to save money. The government is happy to do this to get people dependent and voting Democrat, obviously.

Pocatello doesn't have to deal with RapeUGee like we do here in the Magic Valley and Boise. There's a strong Mormon block in that area too, so it remains very White. The only problematic non-Whites would be the Siberian Americans. I've here there's a lot of institutional Democrats pushing Marxist politics as best they can under the radar there too (since of the University systems).
