THE BI-CAR
Not too sure if you like boys or girls, or both? Then this Bi-Car should fit the bill nicely. Here's more info from the makers in the year 1972:

Traditionalists may flinch, but here's a totally new concept in two-wheeled touring vehicles. And adventurous souls just might find that "something different" they're looking for in the Bi-Car. Eight years of research and development have gone into the Bi-Car, so it's no spur-of-the-moment idea. Bell Vehicle, Inc., IS serious about the project, and has even more expansive plans for the future. The vehicle seats two passengers in tandem and utilizes standard motorcycle controls. At lower speeds and when stopping, the Bi-Car features a retractable landing gear that comes down to stabilize the machine. In addition to a sturdy, close-fitting shell, an optional canopy offers protection from

Cool stuff Ponce. I get a lot of ideas but have been too busy to bring them to fruition. I need to find a mechanical engineer that could help me with details. Pretty girl....your ex. My ex-wife was a beaut, and very intelligent. Still miss her mind.

You built a flying boat?

Yes, it dates to the 1930'a....mine was only 12 feet long 18 feet wide, the winds, and 250 pounds, it rides on a cushion of air under the wings...... the second time that I took it out I sold it for $1000,000......it only cost me $5,500 to make........it was only for one person.........the first time that I took it out it scared the shit out of me when it went up about 60 feet, supposed to be only 6 hahahahahahh. ........ because it was only 12 feet the Cost Guard told me that a permit was not needed.....I still have the photos but I don't know how to post them.

I'd love to see a pic. If you have a smart phone, you might be able to post a pic. Posting a pic on this forum is beyond my ability. I've tried and after an initial success with gym floor pictures, I can no longer figure it out. In my opinion it is an impossible task. Perhaps my computer is somehow lacking, but I think it is my skills that are lacking. These things should not be that difficult.

Fun stuff. Your Bi-car predates the Honda Helix by quite a few years. Oh, and your ex was a looker.

I mean to post this a while back and forgot.

similar idea or idea snatchers?

http://www.carver-technology.com/

I'm not sure this took off. That web site is different to the one I saw earlier. The earlier one seems to have died since so maybe they are getting back into it or sold it on.

edit: ah, I think this one is slightly different. The other one did not have 2 wheels at the back but did have 1 wheel either side that popped out when slowing to a halt like stabilisers, outriggers.

Glass, the two "outriggers" would come down at 25 MPG but it was not on their own, it had a finger switch to do it with.

Pal-V One Flying thing - Personal Air and Land Vehicle
This is based on the Carver enclosed tilting 3 wheeler, similar to Ponce's design, Road going with added fold away gyrocopter.

If you could set it up for some light off road you could have an interesting market.

The video is mostly info but does have an investor pitch. Supposed to have something to market in 2014.

they are selling these Pal-V gyro's now. Only $550,000 each. I'm pretty sure thats USD. I've been watching the price go up and up. Only 45 will be made.

an italian made M24 Orion would set you back about $95,000 USD. Can't drive it on the road of course but at 1/5th the price I think you could afford to just buy a car and a trailer.
