An electric stun gun and several sharp-edged weapons were recovered in an off-site employee parking lot for Gillette Stadium -- home of the New England Patriots -- the Foxborough, Massachusetts, police said.

After police were notified of a "suspicious" man in the stadium's off-site employee parking lot Friday morning, officers searched the car of 48-year-old Matthew Bromson, where they found an electric stun gun and the weapons, the Foxborough Police Department said.

Bromson is not a stadium employee, police said.

Police called this an isolated incident. No one was injured and there was no threat to Gillette Stadium, police said. On Friday the stadium was hosting the 2016 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic -- the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens faced off there at 1 p.m.

Bromson, of North Granby, Connecticut, was arrested without incident and is currently being held, police said today.

Police determined that Bromson "was incapacitated due to alcohol intoxication" and it appeared that he was living out of his car.

Bromson will be arraigned at Wrentham District Court Monday for trespassing, disorderly conduct, possession of an electric stun gun and three charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, after his "actions and words" caused "three witnesses to be in fear for their safety," police said.

The Foxborough police said they had also encountered Bromson the afternoon before the arrest, at an America’s Best Value Inn, where Bromson was asked to leave the hotel by management. Officers then helped him to another local hotel near the stadium, police said.

It was not immediately clear whether Bromson had a lawyer. Gillette Stadium officials could not be immediately reached for comment.

Shaking your fist and yelling at people is now "assault with a dangerous weapon?" Any lawyer should be able to easily get out of this one.

Yes, in the future all you have to do is say you are afraid, and if the subject is a member of a politically undesirable class you can then arrest them and put them in jail.
