This is pretty big news.

Rarely do we get such hard evidence of bankers assassinating leaders and overthrowing governments to stop a threat to their control of currency.

Re: France's client & Qaddafi's gold

1. A high ranking official on the National Libyan Council states that factions have developed within it. In part this reflects the cultivation by France in particular of clients among the rebels. General Abdelfateh Younis is the leading figure closest to the French, who are believed to have made payments of an unknown amount to him. Younis has told others on the NLC that the French have promised they will provide military trainers and arms. So far the men and materiel have not made an appearance. Instead, a few "risk assessment analysts" wielding clipboards have come and gone. Jabril, Jalil and others are impatient. It is understood that France has clear economic interests at stake. Sarkozy's occasional emissary, the intellectual self-promoter Bernard Henri-Levy, is considered by those in the NLC who have dealt with him as a semi-useful, semi-joke figure.

2. Rumors swept the NLC upper.echelon this week that Qaddafi may be dead or maybe not.

3. Qaddafi has nearly bottomless financial resources to continue indefinitely, according to the latest report we have received:

On April 2, 2011 sources with access to advisors to Salt al-Islam Qaddafi stated in strictest confidence that while the freezing of Libya's foreign bank accounts presents Muammar Qaddafi with serious challenges, his ability to equip and maintain his armed forces and intelligence services remains intact. According to sensitive information available to this these individuals, Qaddafi's government holds 143 tons of gold, and a similar amount in silver. During late March, 2011 these stocks were moved to SABHA (south west in the direction of the Libyan border with Niger and Chad); taken from the vaults of the Libyan Central Bank in Tripoli. This gold was accumulated prior to the current rebellion and was intended to be used to establish a pan-African currency based on the Libyan golden Dinar. This plan was designed to provide the Francophone African Countries with an alternative to the French.franc (CFA).

(Source Comment: According to knowledgeable individuals this quantity of gold and silver is valued at more than $7 billion. French intelligence officers discovered this plan shortly after the current rebellion began, and this was one of the factors that influenced President Nicolas Sarkozy's decision to commit France to the attack on Libya. According to these
individuals Sarkozy's plans are driven by the following issues:

a. A desire to gain a greater share of Libya oil production,

b. Increase French influence in North Africa,

c. Improve his intemai political situation in France,

d. Provide the French military with an opportunity to reassert its position in the world,

e. Address the concern of his advisors over Qaddafi's long term plans to supplant France as the dominant power in Francophone Africa)

On the afternoon of April 1, an individual with access to the National Libyan Council (NLC) stated in private that senior officials of the NLC believe that the rebel military forces are beginning to show signs of improved discipline and fighting spirit under some of the new military commanders, including Colonel Khalifha Haftar, the former commander of the anti-Qaddafi forces in the Libyan National Army (LNA). According to these sources, units defecting from Qaddafi's force are also taking a greater role in the fighting on behalf of the rebels.

The State Department released almost 2,900 pages of Hillary Clinton's emails at 1:39 am ET on Friday; the previous instalment from the former Secretary of State revealed the real motivation for the military intervention that toppled Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi.

In the early hours of Friday morning, the State Department released 1,262 emails from Hillary Clinton's private email account, which she used during her time as Secretary of State to conduct official business.

The publication follows the release of over 3,105 emails on New Year's Eve, and brought the State Department in line with a federal judge's order to release 82 percent of 55,000 pages of emails by January 29.

Clinton's lawyers handed over the emails to the State Department in December last year, and intelligence officials are poring over them for sensitive information before they are released to the public. Instead of sending a digital download of the emails, which officials could search, Clinton opted to print out all the emails and delivered them in boxes to the department.

Among the emails released on December 31 were 275 documents that the State Department have since upgraded to 'classified' status. One of them was a confidential memo from Sydney Blumenthal dated April 2, 2011 (https://www.foia.state.gov/searchapp/DOCUMENTS/HRCEmail_DecWebClearedMeta/31-C1/DOC_0C05779612/C05779612.pdf), in which he passed on information that Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi "has nearly bottomless resources to continue indefinitely."

"On April 2, 2011 sources with access to advisors to Salt al-Islam Qaddafi stated in strictest confidence that while the freezing of Libya's foreign bank accounts presents Muammar Qaddafi with serious challenges, his ability to equip and maintain his armed forces and intelligence services remains intact. According to sensitive information available to this these individuals, Qaddafi's government holds 143 tons of gold, and a similar amount in silver," Blumenthal told Clinton.

The intelligence sources explained that the quantity of gold and silver is worth more than $7 billion, and "was one of the factors that influenced President Nicolas Sarkozy's decision to commit France to the attack on Libya."

"This gold was accumulated prior to the current rebellion and was intended to be used to establish a pan-African currency based on the Libyan golden Dinar. This plan was designed to provide the Francophone African Countries with an alternative to the French franc (CFA)."

According to this intelligence, several factors motivated the French president to back the US-led military intervention that toppled Qaddafi. Among them was a desire to gain a greater share of Libya oil production, and to increase French influence in North Africa, which was threatened by Qaddafi's long term plans to supplant France as the dominant power in Francophone Africa.

I have a feeling Trump would be a little quicker to ask,
"why are we deposing this guy again ?"

Libya was one of the most civilized countries in Africa - NO SMALL FEAT.

The US had a policy - very much influenced by Israel - of completely de-stabilizing all Muslim countries.

BIG SURPRISE - Flood of Muslim Refugees !

Imagine if Qaddafi had been allowed to share his economic model with other Muslim nations.

Yes, had to be deposed.

Israel does not want strong Muslim neighbors unless they are somehow controlled, e.g by the illusion of royalty (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait).

Now Playing State Dept. review finds four-month gap in Clinton emails

A recently released email from Hillary Clinton when she was secretary of state appears to show her coaching an aide on how to send a fax on a non-secure system, renewing criticism about her perhaps skirting security measures.
Clinton wrote the email as part of an exchange in June 2011 that started when aide Jack Sullivan wrote to say his staff was having problems getting her documents on a secure fax.
Clinton responded by saying she hadn't received the documents and that Sullivan and his staff should “turn (the messages) into nonpaper w no identifying heading and send nonsecure."
Iowa GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, called the email, one of roughly 3,000 related to Clinton released Friday, “disturbing” and said it appears to show her “instructing a subordinate to remove the headings from a classified document and send it to her in an unsecure manner."
Clinton has been under criticism since news broke last spring that she had as secretary of state used a private server and email accounts for official business.
Grassley also said that the June 2011 email “raises a host of serious questions and underscores the importance of the various inquiries into the transmittal of classified information through her non-government email server."
"How long has the State Department been aware of this email?” Grassley also asked. “Why is it just now being released? Was her instruction actually carried out? If so, has the FBI opened a criminal inquiry into these circumstances?"
Clinton has said she never knowingly sent or received classified information. However, the State Department, which under a Freedom of Information Act request is in the process of releasing roughly 55,000 pages of Clinton emails, is also retroactively classifying about 1,000 of her emails.
“This appears to be part of a pattern of behavior by Hillary Clinton where protocols designed to protect national security and our diplomatic efforts were cast aside,” Republican National Committee spokesman Michael Short said of the email. “Serious legal questions are raised by these emails.
