Stars share touching tributes to Eagles founder Glenn Frey

Stars had heavy hearts on Monday after learning of the death of Eagles guitarist and founder Glenn Frey. As an original member of the group, Frey was responsible for co-writing legendary hits like "Take It Easy," "Tequila Sunrise," and more big hits.
Frey has been battling rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia over the past few weeks and passed away in New York City on Monday. His Eagles band members posted a touching tribute to him on Facebook and fellow band member Don Henley also shared his thoughts about his friend's passing.
"We are all in a state of shock, disbelief and profound sorrow," Henley said in a statement Monday. "I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet.
"It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it," Henley added. "But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some."
Dozens of celebrities have been sharing their memories of him on social media. Tim McGraw, Brian Wilson, Carole King, Steve Martin, Travis Tritt, Niall Horan and more stars have shared how Frey's music touched them.
