Hank Williams Jr. Praises America’s Hunters, Liberal Teeth Gnashing Must Ensue!By Onan Coca (http://eaglerising.com/author/onancoca/) / 4 January 2016 / 1 Comment (http://eaglerising.com/28264/hank-williams-jr-praises-americas-hunters-liberal-teeth-gnashing-must-ensue/#disqus_thread)

Hank Williams, Jr. recently made some waves when he praised America’s hunters and lauded our nation’s gun owners for their ability to own firearms without harming (http://www.mrctv.org/blog/less-000004-percent-all-us-guns-are-used-homicides#.ddnmdk:cFYD) their neighbors. Bocephus made the comments on his Facebook page and was quickly inundated with both praise and criticism. His critics argued that America’s gun owners were the cause of much pain and violence, while his defenders said that legal gun owners commit strikingly few crimes (http://www.forbes.com/sites/larrybell/2013/05/14/disarming-realities-as-gun-sales-soar-gun-crimes-plummet/).
In fact, Williams, Jr. and his defenders are right; law abiding Gun Owners are far more responsible and trustworthy (http://crimeresearch.org/2015/02/cprc-in-fox-news-police-are-extremely-law-abiding-but-concealed-handgun-permit-holders-are-even-more-so/) than most any other demographic.
Here’s what Hank Williams, Jr. said to get everyone so upset.
From Bocephus’ Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/hankjr/posts/10153671938201413):
America's Hunters Pretty Amazing!
A blogger added up the deer license sales in just a handful of states and arrived at a striking conclusion: There were over 600,000 hunters this season in the state of Wisconsin... Allow me to restate that number: 600,000!
Over the last several months, Wisconsin's hunters became the 8th largest army in the world. (That’s more men under arms than in Iran. More than France and Germany combined.) These men, deployed to the woods of a single American state, Wisconsin to hunt with firearms. And NO ONE WAS KILLED. That number pales in comparison to the 750,000 who hunted the woods of Pennsylvania's and Michigan's 700,000 hunters, ALL OF WHOM HAVE RETURNED HOME SAFELY. Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia, and it literally establishes the fact that the hunters of those four states alone would comprise the largest army in the world. And then add in the total number of hunters in the other 46 states. It's millions more.
________ The point? ________
America will forever be safe from foreign invasion with that kind of home-grown firepower! Hunting... it's not just a way to fill the freezer. It's also a matter of national security.
That's why all enemies, foreign and domestic, want to see us disarmed. Food for thought, when next we consider gun control. Overall it's true, so if we disregard some assumptions that hunters don't possess the same skills as soldiers, the question would still remain... What army of 2 million would want to face 30 million, 40 million, or 50 million armed citizens???
For the sake of our freedom, don't ever allow gun control or confiscation of guns.
(If you agree, as I do, pass it on, I feel good that I have an army of millions who would protect our land, and I sure don't want the government taking control of the possession of firearms.)

TV’s Mike Rowe Blasts Obama’s Ridiculous Gun GrabBy Onan Coca (http://eaglerising.com/author/onancoca/) / 18 January 2016 / 3 Comments (http://eaglerising.com/28764/tvs-mike-rowe-blasts-obamas-ridiculous-gun-grab/#disqus_thread)
Last week, America learned that the Obama Administration had been providing scripts for liberal celebrities to use (http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2016/01/13/hollywood-stars-follow-obamas-gun-control-script-tweeting-white-house-talking/) in an effort to push for more gun control. The White House sent scripts for celebrities to use on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and other social media outlets, and many celebrities had used the talking points (almost verbatim) in their social media interactions. Yes, our celebrities have fully embraced their role as tools of the leftist propaganda machine in what Dan Gainor of the Media Research Institute called, “an unprecedented abuse of White House influence to manipulate the public into believing celebrities genuinely supported the president. Hollywood is just an extension of Obama's press office.”
Ah, but there are still good guys in Hollywood fighting for average Americans. One of our favorite celebrities, Mike Rowe of Discovery Channel’s Dirty Jobs and CNN’s Somebody’s Gotta Do It, recently took to his own Facebook to excoriate the White House on their gun control push.
From Mike Rowe’s FB Page (https://www.facebook.com/TheRealMikeRowe/photos/a.151342491542569.29994.116999698310182/1115674178442724/?type=3&theater):
Hello Friends
I’ve just received a request from The White House! On behalf of The President, I’ve been asked to share some talking points directly with each one of you, regarding the need to expand background checks on those citizens who wish to purchase a gun!
Just kidding.
For some reason, I was not among those celebrities selected to assist The White House in this endeavor. I’ve since recovered from my initial disappointment, and identified three possible explanations for the oversight.
1. The White House did not ask for my assistance, because they do not believe I’m famous enough to persuade anyone of anything.
2. The White House did not ask for my assistance, because they do not believe I would tweet out someone else’s words and claim them as my own.
3. The White House did not ask for my assistance, because they do not believe I support background checks.
With respect to #1, The White House is correct. My powers of persuasion, like my celebrity, are limited.
Regarding #2, The White House is correct again. I would never post someone else’s talking points as if they were my own. My own particular brand of hubris requires me to use my own words, which is probably why everyone in my office has developed a permanent facial tick.
As for #3 though, The White House would be mistaken to assume that I oppose background checks on gun purchases. I do not. I’m just skeptical that expanding a broken system is the best way to keep guns away from bad guys and lunatics.
Currently, thousands of people deemed mentally incompetent by the courts are NOT registered in our National Check System. That’s insane, if you’ll pardon the irony, in part because it’s so easily correctible. Likewise, The ATF says that most states report less than 80% of their felony convictions to the national system. As a result, nearly 7 million convicted felons are not currently registered. Is it any surprise that nearly every mass killer in recent memory passed a background check?

But even more troubling are the tens of thousands of people who ARE in the system, that keep trying to buy guns illegally with absolutely no consequence.
Lying on your application to purchase a firearm is a federal offense, but very few are prosecuted for doing so. According to Politico, the Feds have prosecuted just 1.5% of all those individuals who have attempted to purchase a gun illegally. If my math is correct, that means 98.5% of people who are NOT allowed to own a gun, have not been prosecuted for trying to buy one.
Maybe it's a manpower problem? Maybe it's a resource problem? But whatever the reason, many thousands of individuals who try to purchase a gun illegally are allowed to keep on trying. Many eventually succeed, and then use that gun in the commission of a crime. This strikes me a serious problem. And yet, I’ve received no tweets from my favorite action heroes, asking me to support an effort to fix the system we have. Why is that?
To be clear, I’m not a member of The NRA. Last time I joined a club it was The Boy Scouts, and that was a long time ago. But from what I can tell, the NRA is not the reason that so many criminals and lunatics are able to buy guns today. Nor do they appear to oppose the kind of overhaul that would give us a more effective check system. In fact, wasn’t it The NRA that demanded background checks back in the mid-nineties, the moment the technology was first made available?
Regardless, we now possess the technology to update and maintain an accurate data base of felons, lunatics, gang members, terrorists, B-list celebrities, and other unsavory types that we can all agree should never be allowed to own a weapon. We also possess the ability to identify and prosecute anyone who attempts to buy a gun illegally. But if we don't have the resources or the commitment to administer and enforce the system we have, why in the world would we want to make it bigger?
#When (https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/when) there’s a hole in your net, you don’t need a bigger net; you need a smaller hole.
#When your foundation is shaky, you don’t keep building on top of it, you knock it down and start over.
Should The White House ever find itself in need of a tweet in support of that approach, please help yourself to either of the above. But if our elected officials are going to rely on actors and comedians to advance their political agendas, let’s not limit them to 140 characters or a list of pre-approved talking points. Seriously, where’s the fun in that? In the name of authenticity, let’s encourage our celebrities to use their own words.
Hey - it seems to be working for Trump…

Hollywood Star James Woods says to Stop Crime "Buy More Guns and Learn how to Use Them"!By Tim Brown (http://eaglerising.com/author/tim-brown/) / 4 January 2016 / 16 Comments (http://eaglerising.com/28284/hollywood-star-james-woods-says-to-stop-crime-buy-more-guns-and-learn-how-to-use-them/#disqus_thread)
Once again, actor James Woods (http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=as_li_ss_tl?_encoding=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&field-keywords=james%20woods&linkCode=ur2&tag=freedomoutpos-20&url=search-alias%3Daps&linkId=RRXNONQFC3USTNND) is being very vocal about crime and guns, and I love virtually everything the man has to say. On December 29, Woods responded to the details that have been released with regard to three black thugs who went on an eight-day crime spree, including murdering the wife of a former youth pastor in South Carolina and raping another woman, as well as burglarizing homes. He tweeted out, “Buy more guns and learn how to use them (http://joshuamark5.com/product/joshua-mark-5-arak-hybrid-rifle-gift-certificate/).”
Larry Taylor Jr., 18, Jalen Watson, 21, and Diano Gordon, 24 are all suspects in the murder of Amanda Blackburn and Taylor is accused of raping another woman during a burglary at Indianapolis’ Westlake Apartments.
After reading the details (http://www.wyff4.com/news/suspect-in-murder-of-pastors-wife-amanda-blackburn-charged-in-2nd-killing-report-says/37210086) of the crime spree these thugs engaged in, among them were the chilling account provided in USA Today (http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2015/11/23/suspect-murder-pastors-wife/76248516/) that stated Taylor allegedly “leaned over Blackburn’s body and shot the young mother in the back of the head,” then “leaned further” and “looked at her face…. And he watched her bleed,” Woods tweeted:
Woods is exactly right. To prove the point, just consider how three armed intruders attempted to burglarize a woman at home with her four children, just this week.
FOX 45 reports (http://www.fox45now.com/news/top-stories/stories/Woman-Shoots-Kills-Home-Invasion-Suspect-in-Trotwood-245926.shtml) that three armed men broke into an Ohio home where a mother was doing laundry with two of her children while two other children were asleep on the couch. They forced the woman into a back room in an attempt to steal a safe that was in the home. As two of the men attempted to steal the safe, the third suspect pointed a gun at the woman and her children.
Home surveillance video captured what occurred during the invasion.
"I got my gun and I started shooting and they ran," the woman told dispatchers. "They all three had guns, I'm confused ... they must not have had bullets because after I pulled the trigger they just took off, instead of firing back. I don't know if I hit one or not, I don't see blood anywhere."
Though she didn’t see blood, her bullets did find their mark in one of the invaders, Azikiwe Presley, 29, of Dayton, who died from the gunshot.
The other two suspects are still at large and police are asking for your help. They may also be charged with the death of their accomplice once apprehended. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 937-222-7867 (222-STOP).
So, a similar situation involving three invaders and a woman is turned around for good, simply because the woman had a gun and used it! Instead of being left to being a victim, a firearm can be the greatest asset to dealing with criminals.
James Woods (http://freedomoutpost.com/?s=james+woods) has been echoed by other actors such as Kurt Russell (http://freedomoutpost.com/2015/12/actor-kurt-russell-think-gun-control-going-change-terrorists-point-view-youre-mind/), who is a strong Second Amendment supporter (http://gunsinthenews.com/federal-gun-laws-unconstitutional/). Obviously, these Hollywood celebrities are in stark contrast to their mindless celebrity counterparts (http://gunsinthenews.com/now-this-is-an-end-gun-violence-video-every-pro-gunner-can-support/) and the Communist Obama administration (http://gunsinthenews.com/obamas-new-years-resolution-dealing-with-unfinished-business-of-attacking-the-second-amendment/).

OCT. 6, 2011
Three days after the country music singer Hank Williams Jr. referred to Hitler while talking about President Obama, ESPN on Thursday permanently cut his opening song to “Monday Night Football,” which includes the catchphrase “Are you ready for some football?”
ESPN dropped the song from its presentation of the Colts-Buccaneers game Monday night in response to Williams’s remarks, and then deliberated about taking further action.
ESPN said Thursday that it was its decision to end a long association with Williams, but he disputed that on his Web site: “After reading hundreds of e-mails, I have made my decision. By pulling my opening Oct. 3, you (ESPN) stepped on the toes of the First Amendment freedom of speech, so therefore me, my song and all my rowdy friends are out of here. It’s been a great run.”
