The migrant teenager arrested on suspicion of stabbing to death a young Swedish social worker at a at a shelter for refugee children is from Somalia, one of her colleagues has revealed.The tributes came as Swedish police announced that the Somali boy accused of murdering Miss Mezher will stand trial as an adult.
The teenager remains in custody, an unusual step as youngsters are normally sent to a secure children’s home following arrest.
However, police told MailOnline they had made the decision to keep the teenager behind bars due to the serious nature of the crime and the public outrage follow the brutal knife killing Miss Mezher....


The incident comes amid rising tensions over migration in Sweden. The number of threats and violent incidents at asylum facilities doubled between 2014 and 2015.
Earlier this week, Stockholm police warned that the capital's main train station is 'overrun' by gangs of Moroccan street children, who are 'stealing and groping girls' and have called for more resources to cope.


Today, Prime minister Stefan Lofven admitted that many people are fearful of attacks similar to the killing of Miss Mezher, because 'Sweden receives so many children and youths arriving alone'.
Sweden accepted more than 160,000 asylum seekers in 2015, more than any other EU state per capita.
Alexandra, of Lebanese Christian origin, lived with her parents Boutros, 46, and Chiméne Mezher, and her two younger brothers in Borås, some 40 miles from Molndal.
Her father came to Sweden from Beirut, Lebanon, in 1989 and her mother moved there three years later.
It has now emerged that Miss Mezher had been working alone at the housing in Mölndal, which is home to ten unaccompanied minors.
Despite rules that the staff should work in pairs, Miss Mezher had been working a night shift all by herself and was attacked just half an hour before daytime staff were due to take over, it is claimed.
A colleague speaking on condition of anonymity said that staff had previously complained about having to work alone overnight.
'Everyone cried and someone said that this was something we had brought up before, that no one should work alone.'
A spokesperson for HBV Living Nordic AB, which runs several care facilities for unaccompanied minors in the surrounding area, told the paper the rotas followed government guidelines.

Police said Miss Mezher was stabbed shortly before 8am on Monday by a boy, who was then apprehended by other youths living at the centre.
She was taken to Sahlgrenska Hospital in Gothenburg, but died later on Monday as a result of her injuries.

Last Thursday a concerned grandfather voiced his concerns about the increasing incidents of sexual harassment of young girls on their way to school by migrants in a meeting in the German town of Bad Schlema. His own granddaughter has been victim of sexual harassment and he fears it will be much worse when girls will wear less clothing in the summer or dress for physical education. The mayor’s reply angered the over 100 citizens who were present: “It’s simple, don’t provoke them and don’t walk in these areas.”

Later the citizens went on how government actions leave them no other choice than drift off to the Right political spectrum. Swedish police warns that Stockholm’s main train station has become unsafe after being ‘taken over’ by dozens of JewBoo's street children.

The migrant teenager arrested on suspicion of stabbing to death a young Swedish social worker at a at a shelter for refugee children is from Somalia, one of her colleagues has revealed.The tributes came as Swedish police announced that the Somali boy accused of murdering Miss Mezher will stand trial as an adult.

Today, Prime minister Stefan Lofven admitted that many people are fearful of attacks similar to the killing of Miss Mezher, because 'Sweden receives so many children and youths arriving alone'.
Sweden accepted more than 160,000 asylum seekers in 2015, more than any other EU state per capita.
Alexandra, of Lebanese Christian origin, lived with her parents Boutros, 46, and Chiméne Mezher, and her two younger brothers in Borås, some 40 miles from Molndal.
Her father came to Sweden from Beirut, Lebanon, in 1989 and her mother moved there three years later.
It has now emerged that Miss Mezher had been working alone at the housing in Mölndal, which is home to ten unaccompanied minors.
Despite rules that the staff should work in pairs, Miss Mezher had been working a night shift all by herself and was attacked just half an hour before daytime staff were due to take over, it is claimed.
A colleague speaking on condition of anonymity said that staff had previously complained about having to work alone overnight.
'Everyone cried and someone said that this was something we had brought up before, that no one should work alone.'
A spokesperson for HBV Living Nordic AB, which runs several care facilities for unaccompanied minors in the surrounding area, told the paper the rotas followed government guidelines.

Police said Miss Mezher was stabbed shortly before 8am on Monday by a boy, who was then apprehended by other youths living at the centre.

Germans Cheer As Refugee Center Burns, Crowds Stop Firefighters From Extinguishing Blaze
Over the past two months, Europeans have become completely fed up with the wave of refugees streaming into the bloc from the Mid-East.
After demonstrating a remarkable degree of restraint and tolerance in the wake of the attacks that left 130 people dead in Paris in November, the string of sexual assaults that swept Cologne, Germany on New Year’s Eve was the last straw for a German populace that had, until this year anyway, largely remained supportive of Angela Merkel’s “yes we can” approach to settling the 1.1 million asylum seekers that the country took in last year.


That’s not to say that there aren’t still large swaths of the German population that support the migrant cause. It’s simply to note that
the general consensus is no longer teddy bears, water bottles, and hugs.

Discontent with the Iron Chancellor’s approach is growing and the tension is palpable. Renewed support for PEGIDA is emblematic of the direction in which the country is headed and this weekend we got the latest evidence that Germany’s patience with migrants is wearing increasingly thin.


Residents of Bautzen (in Saxony) cheered on Saturday night as a planned migrant center burned in what very well may have been an arson. “Some people reacted to the blaze with derogatory comments and undisguised joy,” Deutsche Welle notes (http://www.dw.com/en/planned-refugee-shelter-in-eastern-german-town-of-bautzen-catches-fire/a-19063792), before adding that “the incident in Bautzen comes shortly after a mob shouting anti-migrant slogans blocked a bus full of refugees in Clausnitz, also in Saxony.” Here's the video of the Clausnitz incident:

Reports indicate that a number of witnesses in Bautzen attempted to prevent firefighters from extinguishing the blaze.
Saxony's chief minister, Stanislaw Tillich, called both incidents "disgusting and hateful."
Yes, "disgusting and hateful," which is precisely what the German people are saying about the string of sexual assaults and the threat of Islamic terrorism.
Needless to say, when German citizens are actively attempting to keep firefighters from curtailing a blaze, it says something profound about public opinion. Then again, we suppose this isn't anything new. As Deutsche Welle goes on to report, "there were more than 1,000 arson attacks on planned and completed refugee shelters across Germany in 2015."
Perhaps support for Merkel's open-door approach was never that strong in the first place.
