>HB 1143 is an anti-vaping bill that could result in hundreds of Vape shops across the state of Florida closing their doors and make it illegal to carry a vaping device. HB 1143 is an act relating to the Florida Clean Indoor Air Act; amending s. 386.203, F.S.; revising the definition of the term “smoking” to include the use of nicotine dispensing devices. The bill would read; 386.203 (10) “Smoking means inhaling, exhaling, carrying, or possessing a nicotine dispensing device as defined in s. 877.122.” This would make also make it illegal to carry or possess nicotine dispensing devices such as mods and drippers anywhere and carries very stiff penalties and fines. The penalties are as follows: “If the proprietor of an enclosed indoor workplace violates the prohibition, DOH or DBPR may assess a civil penalty against the person. Fines of $250 for a first offense, $500 for a second offense, and $1,000 for a third offense may be assessed for specific violations. In addition, any person who violates the smoking prohibition commits a noncriminal violation punishable by a fine of not more than $100 for the first violation and not more than $500 for each subsequent violation.”

You're probably thinking, "good, those fedora faggots deserve it" but this bill wouldn't change the laws for cigarettes. You'd still be able to smoke in public and carry cigarettes and tobacco pipes as normal.

Gee, I wonder who is behind this one?

Its because the vapor is more damaging then the nicotine

The first gen use to really be about steam.

Then as they caught on ....they started making these exotic mixtures some with scents and colors.

I remeber just the other day i saw this kid vaping.

I was in my car parked across the street he had to be at least 300 feet from me

He blew the vapor out his mouth ....

That amorpheous cloud remained intact the entire lenght of the street before dissapating.

I was in absolute awe because I know for a fact tobacco dissipates fairly quickly in open air

Only in some cases. I agree with you in reference to the exotic chemical laden oils and liquids that are vaporized, but other vapes which just heat up plant material and release the vapors are actually much less damaging than combusting the material.

no doubt tobacco and nyc/dc is after them -- the propaganda has been thick and spewing for a year or two
