The official bs reason is to combat the financing of terror but before that they banned the 1000 euro bill because of "organized crime". Of course criminals and terrorists hate small denomination bills as we all know and they prefer large bill that easily attract attention :rolleyes:

How long before they ban precious metals for the same bs reasons as above?

Gold confiscation will occur. It always does. Initially you might have to voluntarily comply and you might get a Grant for it. After that any thing discovered will be confiscated civil forfeiture style.... with maybe a few swift kicks from the jackboot.

misleading headline. They are currently call for the elimination. The notes are currently not eliminated. I don't doubt that they will eliminate the 500 euro note.
