(http://www.trueactivist.com/fortune-magazine-names-monsanto-one-of-the-worlds-most-admired-companies/)In a list released this week by Fortune Magazine (http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20160219005439/en/Monsanto-Named-FORTUNE-Magazine-World%E2%80%99s-Admired-Companies), Monsanto was named one of the world’s most admired companies. Monsanto was honored as No. 1 in its industry sector, biotechnology, although they have very little competition in that market, and the list was decided by dubious means.
According to Business Wire, the honor that Monsanto received was decided by company surveys and peer ratings from senior executives, directors and analysts, in other words, it was based on the opinions of people within the industry, and within the company.
Monsanto Chairman and CEO, Hugh Grant, said in a statement that this is the third year that they were named as the top of their sector by Fortune.
“We are incredibly proud to receive this recognition from FORTUNE for the third year in a row. This recognition is a direct reflection of the outstanding talent at Monsanto as well as our employees’ passion for developing agricultural solutions to help our farmer customers have better harvests,” Grant said.
The results of this list are strange considering the fact that Monsanto is consistently voted as one of the most hated companies on the planet, when the general population is polled instead of the biotech industry.
A public poll last year found that Monsanto was the third most hated company (http://www.bloomberg.com/bw/articles/2014-07-03/gmo-factory-monsantos-high-tech-plans-to-feed-the-world) in the world. That poll actually measured the popularity and reputation of certain brands, while the Fortune magazine poll only asked executives who had an obvious conflict of interest.
For those of you who don’t know, Monsanto (http://www.trueactivist.com/?s=monsanto)is one of the wealthiest multinational corporations in the world and is also one of the most ruthless. Behind the false image of innocence created by their lawyers and public relations, this company is as evil as they come. Thousands of lawsuits have been filed against this corporate giant worldwide, but because of their incredible wealth they are usually able to settle out of court for large sums and pay off the media so their crimes are not exposed to the public.
Monsanto has a very nasty history, before they were in the food industry they primarily dealt with chemicals. Since the beginning of the 20th century, they were responsible for the manufacture of various toxic chemicals, which includes anything from caffeine to weapons like Agent Orange and White Phosphorus (http://www.trueactivist.com/monsanto-supplied-us-and-israel-with-chemical-weapons-according-to-declassified-documents/), along with other dangerous pesticides and herbicides.

Monsanto even helped develop uranium for the atomic bomb in the (http://www.trueactivist.com/?s=roundup)Manhattan Project. (http://www.trueactivist.com/radiation-from-manhattan-project-causing-cancer-clusters-in-us-city/)Their chemical roundup has been known to cause dozens of different plant diseases and does unknown damage to the ecosystem, just as their other pesticides do. I agree, we could probably list 100 things monsanto has done to destroy our PLANET AND PEOPLE.

1. The cause of gluten intolerance by spraying wheat crops with a product that causes damage to wheat crops.

I reasoned that it couldn’t be the gluten or wheat hybridization. Gluten and wheat hybrids have been consumed for thousands of years. It just didn’t make sense that this could be the reason for so many people suddenly having problems with wheat and gluten in general in the past 5-10 years....

Pre-harvest application of the herbicide Roundup or other herbicides containing the deadly active ingredient glyphosate to wheat and barley as a desiccant was suggested as early as 1980. It has since become routine over the past 15 years and is used as a drying agent 7-10 days before harvest within the conventional farming community.....

Using Roundup on wheat crops throughout the entire growing season and even as a desiccant just prior to harvest may save the farmer money and increase profits, but it is devastating to the health of the consumer who ultimately consumes the glyphosate residue laden wheat kernels.....

just because Roundup doesn’t kill you immediately doesn’t make it nontoxic. In fact, the active ingredient in Roundup lethally disrupts the all important shikimate pathway found in beneficial gut microbes which is responsible for synthesis of critical amino acids....

You Must Avoid Toxic Wheat No Matter What The bottom line is that avoidance of conventional wheat in the United States is absolutely imperative even if you don’t currently have a gluten allergy or wheat sensitivity. The increase in the amount of glyphosate applied to wheat closely correlates with the rise of celiac disease and gluten intolerance.
