Yep, I work for a company that is on the very edge of creating machine learning so that machines can learn on their own. I've seen the demonstrations first hand and its absolutely astounding. I can't say names, but I will say this. There is a company that makes robots and it takes them 6 months to train a robot on how to make a weld. It may sound like a long time, but when the production line can stay up for about 5-8 years it's a pretty decent ROI.

The company I work for is working with Machine learning and was able to train the same robot in 6 seconds. Its so much easier when the machine can teach itself on what you want it to do.
