I never thought of my parents as being a burdon or anything, just like a new kid with big ass challenges and mental warfare I took them in. Never would have changed a thing. The option was the 'home' no thanks. I am sure some days they would want a change when I was angry, like after many hours finding the keys in the oven or the TV remote in the freezer... or the tools in the bottom of the garbage can. I experienced shit that I would have never thought of. And at least they were never left alone with strangers, although some days I would have to tell them who I was again.
