I'm worried Cruz is going to take Idaho.

Trump is currently in 3rd in Idaho.

Nevermind, in second ahead of foamy bubble boy.

Idaho Falls' nuclear radiation seems to fuck with peoples heads I guess.

Trump does terribly in closed caucuses.

Rubio is in the fight for his life in Idaho. He really really needs to get above that 20% threshold.

I think he calls it quits after he loses Florida.

Kasich is getting destroyed in Michigan. Ted Cruz is getting more votes than him. Incredible.

If he doesn't get at least 1 delegate tonight, I don't think he'll make it to Florida.

Luckily for him Hawaii might give him a win or close second. Or maybe not - there are a lot of people barely making it in Hawaii from what I understand.

Trump has 428 Delgates to Cruz 315

(http://www.politico.com/2016-election/results/delegate-count-tracker?lo=ut_e1)Rubio 151

edit:
Total delegates still to play for 1511

Picking up Shami's post that follows this one, if Rubio quits and Cruz gets his delegates Cruz will jump to the lead 466 to 428.

If Rubio drops out all is delegates will go to Cruz.

:(

How so? They will be unbounded at that point and could vote for anyone is my understanding.

edit: Oh I see, they could all vote for Cruz on the first round of voting, whereas if Rubio stays in they all delegates free up at the same time.

Wondering what you mean there vacuum?

Delegates from each stage go to the national convention where they vote for who will be the nominee.

Almost all delegates are forced by state law to vote for the person who won their state at the convention on the first ballot.

If nobody wins the first ballot, most delegates can vote for anyone they want on the second ballot and any further ballots.

However, if the candidate drops out who they were originally required to vote for, the delegates may be free to vote for whoever they want on the very first ballot. This means Cruz would have all of his bound delegates who are forced to vote for him, and could potentially get additional delegates to push him over the top on the very first ballot.

This is important because some of Cruz's delegates could abandon him on the second ballot.

I wonder what the price of a delegate is at the second round of voting?

Probably not a lot. It probably depends on how strongly he/she feels about the candidate he/she is bound to. A lot of the delegates are average citizens who feel passionate about getting "their man" elected. A delegate needs to have the financial ability to leave his job and cover the costs of attending the national convention. The average middle class person won't be a delegate because of financial constraints.
