Thai people are fiercely patriotic. They do have a very severe infestation though. This is why the Millitary is still currently running things. Of course things have been running very smoothly and the city has been undergoing a clean up, but not a move the homeless and slum dwellers kind of clean up, a real one, with improved roads and cleaning streets and mending pavements and improving sewers and so on. A lot of little things.

I think all the nations in that area are very patriotic. If you are going to travel you really need to spend some time in that part of the world. Rediscover what the word "nice" means.

I agree racism implies a political ideology based on race. It is biological, people just prefer to deal and interact with people that look and act similar to themselves. It usually means less trouble.
